I didn’t agree with the calls for a return of the death penalty for cases like this but I’m finding it hard to not turn a blind eye to this.

She’s doubled down on twitter too, and I think the term is got “ratio-ed” hilariously, as you’ll be unsurprised to hear. Rod Liddle is an absolute 🔔 🔚, a prime and it amuses me that an esteemed university like Durham would invite him along to speak at a Christmas party.

Well it was her husband who invited Liddle and he objected to the students using their freedom to walk out.

Did the students walk out after Liddle made his creepy comments about sexworkers or did they always intend to?

It's weird how certain people believe that freedom of speech means we all have to listen them.

Planned is probably a stretch given it appears minimal notice of who the guest would be was given to attendees. Those who did choose to walk out initially may have done so for any manner of reasons. The “nonce” article (using that term in the normal way not the “idiot” way) might have been a factor. It might’ve been his comments recently about his desire to sleep with students who work in prostitution. It could’ve been his dissatisfaction that the Tory party is not islamophonic enough. It really is hard to put a finger on precisely what it was.
