Been great for commuters and cyclists, bad for drivers

Violent crime has gone up under him but I put that more down to cuts to police and community support caused by austerity

He doesn't need to grandstand in the way he does, I think Trump more picked a fight with him than the other way round but he didn't need to get involved. Also a bit crass when a few months into the job he tried to take the credit for the night tube

👍🏻

I also think that violent crime is on the up as a social trend almost. South London in particular is out of control.

I won’t go into details but two people that work for me are from south London and they both have direct familial experience with the ultimate of knife crimes. Their acceptance of this reality really astounded me at first when I first found out. Sounds simple but that Top Boy show really sums it up quite well.

Peston has said Sunak's tax returns are due to be published today at 4pm.

Can't say I was too fussed before but considering he himself said he'd do it months ago, and is now seemingly releasing them on probably the busiest day politically all year, says there may be something juicy in there.

MPs get a vote on whether to approve or ignore the committees findings and any recommended sanction. Sunak has already said he will stick with tradition and allow a free vote, unlike the current accused who whipped tory MPs to reject the sanctions against the corrupt tory Owen Paterson.

A 10 day suspension = an automatic recall vote by his constituency party, Johnson would have to beg to keep his job as an MP.
If that happens, I'd fully expect the mediocrities like Rees-Mogg, Moylan and Dorries to go full Majorie Taylor-Green in their fury against the kangaroo Court and the unjust witch-hunt against their enabler.

"As early as 1997, British Army doctors warned the Ministry of Defence that exposure to depleted uranium increased the risk of developing lung, lymph and brain cancer, and recommended a series of safety precautions."

"A 2005 epidemiology review concluded: "In aggregate the human epidemiological evidence is consistent with increased risk of birth defects in offspring of persons exposed to DU."[13] Studies using cultured cells and laboratory rodents continue to suggest the possibility of leukemogenic, genetic, reproductive, and neurological effects from chronic exposure."

It was used by the Yanks in Iraq
In those areas where is was used the rate of severe birth defects greatly increased

"A medical survey, "Cancer, Infant Mortality and Birth Sexxx Ratio in Fallujah, Iraq 2005–2009" published in July 2010, states that the "...increases in cancer and birth defects...are alarmingly high" and that infant mortality 2009/2010 has reached 13.6%. The group compares the dramatic increase, five years after wartime exposure in 2004, with the lymphoma that Italian peacekeepers developed after the Balkan wars and the increased cancer risk in certain parts of Sweden because of the Chernobyl fallout. The origin and time of introduction of the carcinogenic agent causing the genetic stress the group will address in a separate report. The report mentions depleted uranium as one "potentially relevant exposure"

The report mentions depleted uranium as one "potentially relevant exposure". So not definitive?

What's worse for human health, depleted uranium shells or a nuclear weapon which the invaders of Ukraine have threatened to use a couple of times.
Preferable to everyone that there wasn't a situation where either of these weapons might be used, the ball is in Russia's court, but you don't question that do you Peks?
