It's a bit naff and typical of Led by Donkeys who seem to be massive turnoff to most ordinary people but it highlights just how lazy, greedy and thick Hancock, Kwarteng and Brady are that out of the 20 MPs targeted they were the only ones to fall for it

I think it's more about MP's trying to block payrises for essential workers and the general public then asking for £10k a day for themselves.

It's just about greed, a great human failing, which we can all find ourselves guilty of.

My understanding is that 16 of the 20 mp's contacted were Tories so it's obviously an anti Conservative agenda that led by donkeys have.

Although they were idiots to fall for it I guess that as Hancock and Brady are standing down at the next GE there isn't much to see here.

Labour will try and make this work in their favour but the Lamny situation always destroys their argument on this issue.

Lammy has a radio show talking to the public, the Tory MPs interviewing Tory MPs, which is a no-no according to OfCom regulations
I suppose their "out" is that these interviews are not news even though they're on GBNews which by definition isn't a news channel, it's an echo chamber.

There’s a proper debate to be had about MPs and money… although not with half of the people on this forum.

One argument is that these are vital roles in running the country, and the current pay structure is too low if we want the best people.

Plenty of arguments against that, of course.

Their wage inflation should be the average they bestow on the rest of the public sector.
