I've asked this question dozens of times and no one has come up with a answer. What actions should Israel have taken after the Oct 7th attack? You don't want boots on ground, you're against resources being cut off, so what other options are there?

Strengthen their defences and send in special forces to go get the hostages.
Basically a surgeons knife instead of a mallet.
Maybe release some of the thousands of Palestinians who were detained without trial prior to Oct 7th.
Pretty sure Clap will have been answered, but he's doing that thing where you ask the same question every few days and pretend no one has answered you.

I never said that, but it's ridiculous to expect Israel to hand over prisoners after the Oct 7th attack.
Imagine the outrage from the parents of the children killed in Manchester if our government started giving ISIS what they demanded?
I'm not saying that Israel should not release innocent Palestinians at some point, but you don't pay heed after they've just murdered 1400 people. It's ludicrous what you posted.
There was a guy on the radio a couple of weeks ago trying to explain why a tweet from a released hostage was deleted. Unfortunately, the annoying Stephen Nolan kept speaking over him.
The original tweet written by an Israeli women said she was sat with the Hamas fighters in her living room, she said they were curteous and were explaining their motives.
IDF vechicles rolled up and basically detroyed all the homes around hers, most of them were full of Israeli families at the time. She pointed out the Hamas fighters were only armed with assault rifles, not the heavy weaponary required to completely destroy all the houses and cars in the kibbutz.
Al Jazeera are now going with this story with the aid of IDF whistleblowers. It's doubtful we'll ever get the full truth though.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
You've been answered multiple times even though it's not clear why you want to start after the Oct 7 attacks only. Why did the Oct 7th attack happen? Why would anyone attack Israel?
I could ask, what were Palestinians supposed to do after hundreds have been killed and maimed this year alone, and that's happening in the West Bank as well where there is no Hamas, more settlements, settler attacks, Israel weaponising essentials like water and energy for decades, no freedom of movement, second class citizens, the detention without trial of hundreds of people including children this year alone etc etc.
Withdraw from occupied areas, cease the settlements, cease apartheid, ensure equal rights and justice for all people living in the region, comply with international law and work towards a two state solution without trying to cheat, instead of actively and intentionally trying to destroy or minimise any chances of a two state solution.
In fact, if they'd done that from the beginning things would be different. In fact, Palestine should have been given their own state along with Israel. Why didn't that happen and who was responsible for that?
I’m not gonna bother arguing with any of you lot. You’re all strangers to me.
Why would the IDF kill Israelis and destroy their homes?

Why did they plan Lavon? What else have they ever planned then? Are we supposed to assume that was the only one they ever planned? Why'd they attack the Liberty? Oh, it was an accident, riiiiiiiiighto.
