Have you had a breakdown?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, have you?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, I’m not the one making bizarre comments
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Defending a police officer kicking & stamping a prone person on the ground in the head is bizarre.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It would be if the full details were available and it was proven that the victim was an innocent bystander
----------------------------------------------------------------------
WTF is wrong with you. Stamping on someone's head when that individual is incapacitated is reckless. Sure, the police do need to use measures to apprehend criminals and for their own protection too, but stamping on someone’s head either shows that the person lacks restraint or is a s4dist.

There’s no excuse. Threw his knee in too, the filthy pig.

So if he is guilty of anything, it's perfectly fine for police to kick and stamp on the head of a person prone on the ground having been tasered?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Interesting how we should wait for more details before condemning the officer but the guilt of the person kicked in the head is assumed before being proven by Boris, its bizarre.

Than again he appears to like a bit of authoritarianism.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s spent so much time defending Sheikh Mansour it’s turned him mental.

There is no single reason whatsoever that I can think of that “permits” such use of force against an individual who has already been rendered incapacitated by being tasered twice and is lying on the ground surrounded by other officers.

And it would appear that GMP (having already been criticised and under current investigation for multiple acts of over reaction) seem to agree, having removed the officer from active duty and referred itself to the complaints body.

The police officer will get fired for what he did

The victim is probably also a perpetrator, reports of them fighting with armed police, just insane

Everybody sucks here

And if so then both should be prosecuted. You can’t go around attacking police or stamping on people’s heads if that happens to you.

This

Firstly we assume innocence until.guilt is proven at trial. The person on the ground is entitled to stand trial for the crimes they've been accused of. The actions of the officer basically assume guilt and immediate punishment/retaliation.

Another thing authoritarian fans like Boris don't realise.is that the actions of the officer undermine the rule of law. Can the testimony from this officer of what went on before the kicking be taken with any credibility?

You just assume it whilst excusing the actions of the officer. You hear of police brutality like this in other countries in the world with authoritarian regimes, and indeed some democratic nations like the US.

It's not something I want to see in the UK, we police by consent.

I can understand why the officer's red mist descended if what they're saying is true regarding attacking police and trying to take guns, but equally if you're liable to red mist you shouldn't be a police officer, much less an armed one.

Presumably he'll be rightfully fired.

I was listening to LBC with Ferrari in the last hour and every single ex police officer that called in said the guy needs sacking straight away.

posted on 25/7/24

He needs to be tried for attempted murder on top, no facking police officer has any right to stamp on any ones head when they’re disarmed and on the ground tasered. One of the police officers that called in said they’re always trained to never ever go for the head in situations like this.

Lots of people saying on SM that he’d have been shot if that had happened in others countries assuming that he had actually assaulted an Anti-Terrorism officer which is probably true

Let’s not get silly now.

Sacking him is enough. Look, if they’re going for the guns you’ll get a slap, but the guy was subdued and it was a daft amount of excessive force.

Yeah by comparison to other countries hr was actually restrained

Its not really the point and the Gene Hunt days of giving a scrote a quick kick to the head aren't acceptable anymore.

“attempted murder”?

Behave for goodness sake.

It's GBH and should be treated as such, it's not "excessive force", the guy was on the floor and restrained
