Lots of people saying on SM that he’d have been shot if that had happened in others countries assuming that he had actually assaulted an Anti-Terrorism officer which is probably true
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This wasn’t in “other countries” though. And I don’t think anyone would want that style of policing here
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Match day policing is going to become very different if Boris has his way.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here’s hoping 👍

Someone doesn't take his kids to the game. It'd be the last thing you'd want to see if you did.
The dude used excessive force and should rightfully go through a disciplinary process.
However when you attack and assault police it’s gonna get messy.
Being floored by 50,000 volts probably makes a mess.

So you think emotions should be brought into policing?

I'd want that person arrested and brought to trial. IfbI saw the arresting officer kicking the perp on the ground I'd be concerned his actions reduce my kids chances of getting justice. Plus do I want to teach my kid violence and instant retribution being more valid than legal justice, no thanks.
Would you be stood there cheering the officer on telling your kid this is what justice is?

You know someone can't justify their own opinion when they start to create some weird extreme that they portray as the only alternative to their position.
Also, anti-terror officer isn’t a position in the police, as far as I’m aware. This was an armed policeman for Greater Manchester Police, not a designated Counter Terrorism Unit.
