I'd want that person arrested and brought to trial. IfbI saw the arresting officer kicking the perp on the ground I'd be concerned his actions reduce my kids chances of getting justice. Plus do I want to teach my kid violence and instant retribution being more valid than legal justice, no thanks.

Would you be stood there cheering the officer on telling your kid this is what justice is?

Also, anti-terror officer isn’t a position in the police, as far as I’m aware. This was an armed policeman for Greater Manchester Police, not a designated Counter Terrorism Unit.
