I don't think it was a race thing, it was an out of control, over entitled, angry cop abusing his position, thi king he could get away without and his colleagues proved him right, they did nothing.

Polis logic...No camera phone no issue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure what the colleagues could have done really, it happened so fast and without warning. You can see one of the female officers being visibly shocked by it in the video though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You also see other officers trying to stop the person filming when the camera faces a wall for a few seconds. It looks like there were a few coppers there which makes me think what threat was the lad on the ground with a knee on his back surrounded by coppers?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think the police will have an aversion to being filmed anyway. It is a difficult job to do and films can always be taken out of context. The phone thing might be unrelated to kick and just be a heat of the moment 'stop filming' type thing.

It's an odd one as the filming does allow extra evidence in these cases, but there are also negatives to people getting out their phones every time there is a police call out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The UK has the most CCTV by far than other nations, police wear body worn cameras for evidential purposes and are quick to appeal for dash cam, ring door bell or mobile footage of incidents.

They can't then get narky when footage shows them in bad light.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The UK does have those things, but an individual filming on their phone can create a viral video with a situation completely out of context or edited to suit their narrative. That is not likely to happen with bodycams and CCTV.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This works both ways

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/law/2018/nov/15/cps-and-police-routinely-failing-to-disclose-evidence

We've also seen cases of body cams conveniently turned off or suddenly not working during critical.incidents.

If video of police could he clipped to show them in bad light whose to say that the same doesn't apply to phone, dash cam or doorbell footage they appeal for?

It doesn't sit right with me the attitude of the evidence the police submit is unimpeachable yet the evidence you've submitted may have been manipulated.

Burnham has said that he has seen the full video, most of which isn't in the public domain and people should be careful about jumping to conclusions.

That's more or less what I've said from the start - Something very drastic must have happened to draw such a violent reaction from that copper.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
No it's not
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It really is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Burnham agrees with the officer being suspended. You disagree with this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Please show me the comment where I specifically said the officer shouldn't be suspended.

Aye and they pinned them to the floor and tasered them, I don’t understand why his head needed to be stamped on twice after it was practically impossible for them to react back
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably a reaction to the attack on the lady policeman.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Right, so he’s let his emotions run which means he needs to be sacked and tried for attempted murder. A policeman doesn’t decide if someone deserves to die if an active threat has been disarmed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Shouldn't hit a woman then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So criminals can be head kicked and stomped on by police because they committed a crime? You're a fecking genius Boris.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry snowflake but these things happen in the real world."

Not specific but you've tried to justify this in various ways 'If a female colleague of mine was assaulted' etc.
You've cast doubt on the solicitor representing the family. You've prattled on about waiting for context then speculated about events before the kick.

Did you see this video of events before

https://news.sky.com/story/police-officer-who-kicked-and-stamped-on-suspect-at-manchester-airport-filmed-pepper-spraying-man-13184832

----------------------------------------------------------------------
So where have I said the officer ahouldn't be suspended, you may have to highlight it for me due to my inherent dimness.

IMO not only should they not be allowed to turn their cameras off, they shouldn’t be *able* to.

Boris

Here you are justifying the officers kick and stamp to the head

"Probably a reaction to the attack on the lady policeman."

"Shouldn't hit a woman then." (Bit demeaning no?)

"Sorry snowflake but these things happen in the real world."

A bit at odds with someone who agrees the officer should be suspended no?

It's basically something that happens every four years and is considered the world's foremost sports competition with more than 200 teams, representing sovereign states and territories, participating.

Show me where you said he should be suspended. All I've found is you giving excuse after excuse for a copper kicking someone in the ground in the head

Still quiet on that second video showing the same copper kicking out and getting another lad in a headlock before he kicked.and stamped the other one.

Keep defending it though knobhead

One thing I do admire about the French is, whether you agree with the reasoning behind it or not, they do blow our protests out the water.
