In a clear indication of the political persuasion of the attendees, the mass of protesters in Trafalgar Square cheered affirmatively when asked if they’d voted Reform, with both Labour and Conservatives booed.

Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, opened his address to the supporters by asking them to “put your hands in the air” to indicate who they’d voted for.

He asked “How many people here voted for Labour?” and the crowd erupted into boos.

When he asked “how many people voted for the Conservative Party” the booing response from his supporters in Trafalgar Square was just as loud.

But when Robinson asked the rally how many of them voted for Reform the crowd burst into cheers and applause
