We don’t even know the context of the cartoon but it apparently wasn’t anything offensive

Maybe we should just get the book of Islam amended and changed to include the allowance of humour, jokes and cartoons

From what I can gather the image of Allah/Muhammad is forbidden to be drawn by human hand.

Not necessarily true, as posted earlier there are multiple examples of artwork and paintings of Mohammed - the Sunni concept of forbidding drawings is relatively recent.

WWSPD, I spent some time with some NI guys while on holiday a few years ago, and a couple if them were quite offended by crucifixes especially the ones with rubies as blood on the wounds of Christ favored by southern Europeans. They called them graven images.

Jebus. Don't suppose they were also offended by garlic and sunlight.

I remember years ago there was a Chapel in the centre of Belfast and beside it was a shop that sold pretty much anything you could think of related to Christianity.

I had to buy a picture of Jesus on the cross that had disco lights on it. Disco Jesus became a treasured fireplace decoration.

A gay guy I knew had what looked like Eastern Orthodox icons at a glance. One was of Jesus falling while carrying his cross.

Let's just say Simon wasn't really helping him.
