Cons will never bring it in, support for AV was huge until the referendum was called and "think tanks" lobbied against it

And if labour get in why would they support it?

Presumably why many independence supporters in Scotland (which broadly speaking you could say I am) have got absolutely zero time for the new Alba party, despite it being likely to help create a “supermajority” of pro-Indy MSPs. Its manipulating or gaming the electoral system so that the parliament isn’t is “fair” reflection of the views of the voters. In a word; integrity.

I cannot help but think it's just a Salmond ego vehicle. He's loved the attention of the last few months and wants the attention.

fwiw I think Salmond is a fascinating character, in the same way Farage is a fascinating character. Prior to his recent exposure I would have liked to go for a pint with Eck and could never go for a pint with Nigel.

Some positive news: Yesterday London recorded zero COVID-19 deaths for the first time in 6 months.

If that's true that's great news.

Oh I agree, I consider him to be among Boris, Farage and Blair to be the most influential politicians of our time.

Don't think any of them would pass any honesty test.

-------
It encourages debate and compromise whereas echo Chambers don't. Smaller parties go in to government and get the opportunity to push their agendas.
Loads of other countries have collaborative governments.

1 coalition

May formed a minority govt. She did the same thing Major did in 96 when he also cut a deal with DUP, neither of those occasions were a coalition govt though
