I'll admit to betting at half time in a gamed cause Ray Winstone's head told me the odds.
---------------
We wouldn't expect anything else from you Kneerash.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you ordered a Dominos 5 minutes before a match so it would come for half time as Kammy says?
Pplf - Is nothing sacred?! x
What are the odds this will actually happen?
tbf £100 a spin in your local bookies is madness, I've never played these machines as I don't go into bookies however i'ld bet you could lose a grand in 30 seconds

Who hasn't? You don't need mascot mayhem to enjoy half time.
Had a friend who reckoned that he had those machines beat. I've seen people lose grands in half an hour using these machines. The noise of the ball circling the roulette is engrained in my memory.

Aren't places like Mecca and other big UK wide Bingo places on the rise again, with younger people than it used to be associated with?
-------------------------------------
Not to sure, there was a huge one near me that closed and they blamed it on the smoking ban.
Ironically it was replaced by a casino that is very well attended.

what I wanna is how people learn to play those fruit machines. look complex as hell
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You need to be 18 skip so you've a good while to go till you can play.
ive worked in a betting shop before for about 6months and personally never saw anyone laying down £100 bets on these machine, of course it does happen on rare occasions but don't see how this solves any issue at all
What's complicated? You spin the Wheel of Mayhem to go up the Ladder of Chance. You go past the Mud Hut through the Rainbow Ring to get to the Golden Monkey; you yank his tail and boom! You’re in Paradise Pond!

Saw a thing where the brain cortex associated with gambling lights up as much when you anticipate the win, as it does when you win.
And if you ever wondered why Ladbrokes (e.g.) have two or three shops in close proximity to each another, it's because the limit on the amount of crack-cocaine machines is two per shop.
,
I'm no gambler, but crack-cocaine machines, where are these?
Are these like the Fruit machines you see in Pubs in the UK?
They're not allowed in betting shops in Ireland as far as I know.

They are high stakes roulette machines where addicts have lost thousands of pounds in the push of a few buttons in a couple of minutes.
There has been a big lobbying effort to do something about them for ages. Their critics says they are bit providing an unlimited supply of crack to people who are drug addicts.

No, they are like computers with easy to use interfaces. Am addict can lose hundreds of points of a fruit machine in a night. An addict could lose his house in 30 minutes on the bookies high stakes machines.
If they were banned they could still play online at the same speed and stakes, at least it gets them out the house.

Correct, although some addicts need a bookies to enable their addiction, like some alcoholics only drink in a pub. They don't want to bring the issue into their home life.

Some people will say that banning or reducing the cap on these machines will lead to people simply getting their fix elsewhere, but there's lots of evidence that if properly enforced then banning or restricting access to addictive stuff can actually work well. If not on existing addicts, then on potential future addicts. See the smoking ban for instance: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/health/smoking-ban-uk-smokers-numbers-fall-two-million-19-cigarettes-tobacco-drop-10-years-a7817236.html
