Exactly, without deviation it's a standard delivery.

Teams away from their country without their conditions play bad, that's 8-0 in Australia over two Ashes tests

Broad 0-142 and out for a duck in Perth

Root quoted as saying that there won't be many knee jerk reactions to this defeat, expect maybe one or two changes for Melbourne then

This

They bowled excellently, a few players under performing (like Warner) but can't complain with how good they played

Well said THudd!

Also if I praised Australia and showed the facts, but some folks here didn’t like it or got upset. They went to mods to complain. So my sincere apologies if I got their knickers twisted.

Time to move on ladies ๐Ÿ˜‚ & gentlemen!

When Australia got on top, we crumbled. When we got on top, Australia fought back and we crumbled. England had their chances but couldn't keep the pressure on to turn those chances into winning positions.

Fair play to Australia, Smith is a machine and their bowlers all put their hands up. We only had Jimmy who despite all the pre series criticism has done better than many expected. 12 wickets @ 25 is a good return, yes he had some favourable conditions in Adelaide but so did Woakes who has 7 @ 51.

The batting really let us down but again not as expected. Full credit to Malan who I thought would struggle the most.

Bounce back in Melbourne, take out Overton, Alli and replace with Crane and Curran

posted on 19/12/17

Overton is an injury concern too and may well miss the next test anyway so it's likely Curran will be given a chance. I'd be tempted to take Broad out of the firing line too for Wood. Crane for Moeen may happen but it makes our tail very long if it's Woakes, Curran, Wood/Broad, Anderson, Crane. Although we're collapsing badly with the bat anyway so may as well go with our best bowling attack and rely on the top 6 for runs as we have been doing all series anyway (what a surprise that is)

I'd consider moving Alli up along with Bairstow, Alli is a batsman at county level who bowls part time,

What on earth has happened to broads batting. Used to be borderline all rounder maybe a 7. Looked a class player when he got his hundred v Pakistan. Now he's not even good enough for 10. All he does is slog and out. Used to be so good.

Got cracked in the face the other year when the ball went through his helmet guard and seems to have lost his confidence against anything that’s short.

Did he really score that hundred though?

Broad has lost all confidence and looks burned out, if anyone in the team needs a rest its him, we need to freshen up the bowling attack

He got 169 at Lords in 2010.... 7 years ago!

Starc is struggling to be fit for the 4th test as he's got a bruised heel so Jackson Bird looks set to replace him.

posted on 20/12/17

Yes I remember the 169 but that also when pakistan were found to be cheating. Same test match in fact. I don't believe that hundred was legitimate.

Hazewood will be dangerous at the MCG, I like him, he's taken key wickets

Very well said bro. But be careful as some folks here will be running to mods to complain as they don’t prefer facts or reality.

However, really appreciate your honesty pal. ๐Ÿ‘

That Starc delivery is being overhyped big time. It hits a big crack which is more down to luck than skill.

----------------------

Amir has done that many times on a non cracked pitch

seems like when the white man does it they get the praise but when sub continent does it its not appreciated enough.

as for this current series

cook, broad and ali needs to be dropped

too many booziness and ill discipline.
stoneman needs to keep quiet and focus on his cricket

australia have been well prepared and deserve to be 3-0 up.

lets see what england make of it int he remaining test macthes.

will aussie keep the pressure or will complacency star creeping in.

warner has been a brilliant player but surely needs a big score otherwise he will call it quits methinks.

Despite the legitimacy or illegitimacy of Broad's 169, you always fancied him to do what Cummins has done in the bat with this series and chip in with some demoralising 40s and he's managed a fair few half centuries in his career. But he does just look like a walking wicket now.

There's no way England will drop Cook, especially if there is any truth in him calling time on his career after this series.
