Good win, it's great to have someone like Joe Root to anchor an innings rather than a Cook or Trott type player. Kept it together whilst others knocked off the runs, good to see Jos some runs and good stuff from Woakes too.
Moeen has been good with the ball in both matches so far in keeping it tight and only going at about 4 an over in both (and picking up a wicket in each), although he only bowled 7 overs today. Obviously didn't get a chance in the first match with his 5* although obviously a score of 1 is poor today. However, as an all rounder, if he contributes with one or the other than you're pretty happy and I'd say his contributions with the ball will leave the camp feeling happy with his contribution. 17 overs, 2-68, only 1 four and 1 six off his bowling.
Moeen did get a great delivery to be fair

Was a ripper, in-swinging yorker right on the money, Starc is a hell of a bowler
Excellent from england in the ODIs. Aussies are going backwards.
Credit to England spinners.
Expectations are rising all the time now England are expected to do an ODI series whitewash in Aussies backyard which wud be an incredible achievement.
Who need Stokes.
amazing batting from Buttler and England get 300 again.
Theres why stokes is important to the original team that extra bowling option which they needed today when plunkett went off. Hales the one who would have to make way.
England win the ODI and the series. Well done. I expect Buttler to be MOTM.
When did England last win an ODI series in Australia? certainly during my time I don't recall them doing that.
Looks like Plunkett will be flying home with a hamstring pull, another Yorkie Willey will probably take his place or maybe Curran
Superb from Butler, Woakes, Rashid and Wood. Lots of contributions throughout this series so far. Morgan is a very good leader. I think Curran will come in for Plunkett although Willey does offer some variety and could be a good bet up top against Finch who has been Australia's main resistance with the bat.

I’m sure they won after the whitewash in the Ashes about 8 or 9 years ago?
been a fantastic performance from england thus far, dosen't make up for ashes performance however the ODI side is a superb outfit these days
Can England win ICC Cricket World Cup in 2019?That is a question on everybody's lips.
England have a solid team to win the WC. They would surely go as favourites to win it. The question is whether they will be able to handle the pressure of home expectations. So far England have mucked up 2 opportunities to win CT in england and WCT20 opportunities.
They can win it but tend to choke or play against an inspired side in the semi or final. The fact the ICC are preparing the pitches again worries me.

i dunno if it counts but back in 2007 england won the triangular series involving australia and new zealand in australia's backyard.
amazing achievement from england. these group of players are so well drilled in the ODI set-up. they have the right balance and formula for success in the ODI.
Stong dominant cricket but also smart cricket.
It seems like the aussies have learnt from the warning signs back in 2015 when aussie scrape through with 3-2 series victory in england.
I hope the other players are given a chance esp now that plunkett looks to be off injured.
England in ODI are on another level, absolute joy to watch as they have sooo much power in the batting line up. Love watching Butler play and Morgan is a good captain.
Its funny how they trust Rashid so much in ODI but in test they just throw him overboard and take him to countries who absolutely destroy all spinners. I'd just like to see him given a run of 10 tests home and away and in away i dont mean taking him to places like India and UAE and expect him to perform miracles.
Rashid is an average to poor bowler.. Hes going for over 40 in test cricket with the ball. he gets away with it in, in odi's.

Like i said he's bowled in India and UAE against the best players of spin. He maybe average but he deserves a chance against normal team playing in England (ie SA, AUS, NZ, WI)
Rashid's problem is that he tends to bowl one bad delivery an over which offers a release shot for players. In ODIs with more defensive fields, it may not get punished as badly but in test cricket it often goes for 4.
That being said, he should have been picked for the Ashes squad as our back up spinner and come in when Moeen was struggling. He's a very handy batsman too and probably would have fared a lot better again Lyon.
Butlers ton was phenomenal, slow start to build the innings, then brilliant sixes , 2 off the last ball, crazy
Root got some stick but Rashid always looked like taking a wicket when they tried to get after him
I love the shot Buttler does when the balls full on leg stump. he gets under it and smashes down the ground over deep mid on for 6.. classy shot that.. hes got a hell of a lot of ability. If he could geta better defence. Buttler would do better at test cricket.

Not when the IPL pays in excess of test cricket, Morgan is the same, can earn millions from IPL and other forms of the short game, shame as I really rate Buttler
