I think that was clear from the get go. But people on here, opo fans, want to make it bigger than it is
Irrespective of the outcome. It's good regardless that the FA investigate. Hopefully from the Suarez saga Liverpool will handle things with a degree of lessons learned.
It’s the first time I’ve read any quotes from a lip reader though
I still think Firmino will get a three game ban. Dangerous precedent though.

Comolli won't be there to feck up the hearing so it will at least be a fair defence.
Yeah but where does Holgate get the n word from.
If this is true Firmino said nothing that could be mistaken as the n word.

From trying to get out of being punished after his malicious act of pushing Firmino over the advertising boards.
So is Holgate been done for violent conduct yet

The referee saw it and decided it wasn't even a foul. I'm not sure it can be punished now.
I don't think there's a law for players who play the race card either so he won't see any punishment.
Firmino will get a ban for abusing the player. Three games in my opinion.

Holgate is saying he heard the word Negro!
It’ll all be down to what the ref says he heard.

Liverpool have nothing to handle though. The likelihood is that it will be a spurious claim. Everton should be the only club to answer for anything.

I don’t think he will. They should take mitigating circumstances into consideration, it’s not as if Firmino wasn’t severely antagonised, is it?
I don't understand why Bobby should be suspended for abusive language, when players do it game in game out.
I don't mean racism btw, I mean general telling someone they're a mother fudger

If he didn’t use racial language and gets a ban it’s a fackin joke, if he did then throw the book at him

I think they will. It is against the rules to abuse a player and because there is an investigation they will have to apply the rules. They also may see it as a compromise to a serious accusation which has to be treated carefully.
Well I'm actually astounded that you choose to believe the version that suits your club. What a shocker.
The reaction of Holgate definitely tells you something bad was said. The fact the ref also went over to the 4th official too when there really wasn't a need.
Maybe he didn't say it but the reaction from Holgate wasn't typical for someone being called a sob.
He really should have been sent off himself for combination of things but if racist language had been used, Firmino hasn't got a leg to stand on regardless of the push.

“Firmino will get a ban for abusing the player. Three games in my opinion.”
Surely the ref heard the abuse and included it in his report. Shouldn’t that mean Firmino can’t be banned the same as Holgate can’t?

Eric you really are an idiot. Probably the biggest one on this site. At least it will be bedtime soon for you. We don't have to read your rubbish.
The ref can't have heard anything as the FA said he was "made aware" of an allegation.

Firmino was speaking Portuguese you fecking idiot. Holgate clearly got the wrong end of the stick, it’s not rocket sconce
You literally have no idea what was said, and everything so far is pointing towards Firmino not saying what Holgate thought he said. Why on earth wouldn’t we side with Firmino?

The guy is a fool. He really is.
You have to give Holgate some credit, instead of him being sent off for assaulting Firmino and injuring our fans because he’s produced the race card Firmino is now facing unnecessary questions
I’d add the ref was in between them at all times and Firmino spoke soley in Portuguese and for me Holgate should be banned for 5 years if he cannot produce solid evidence.
