Again, AJ is more than capable of absolutely steamrolling Usyk, I know people think Usyk is so wow amazing at heavyweight now but he’s really not, just absolutely steamroller him and pressurise him like Chisora did. Chisora is too old and not good enough now to spark him out or cut the ring down adequately like he needs to, but likes of Fury Wilder AJ Whyte should really have no issues with knocking Usyk out
Agreed about Usyk. I think he's undersized for this division and I can't see him beating Fury or even Wilder but his style and IQ will give guys who box with him, serious trouble. AJ can beat Usyk but just not in a fight that goes 12 rounds. He needs the stoppage win because he isn't out boxing Usyk. Same goes for Wilder vs Usyk or even Whyte vs Usyk, those guys will need to get Usyk out.
In fairness to him he’s improver as a boxer, and I can understand why he’d want to develop this area so that he’s given more respect as a boxer, and maybe able to prolong his career as he gets older and starts losing his power.
But the bloke is 31 and in incredible shape. He should be looking to combine that side of the game as a secondary weapon to his power, rather than making it the main focus. That’s if it’s his stubbornness is to be believed, of course.
Personally, I will be rooting for AJ and I hope he beats Usyk because it means we finally get to see AJ vs Fury.
I think AJ's team needs to some reshuffling. I suspect he has too many yes men in the camp and let's be honest, if you've got guys in your corner shouting "brilliant", when you're being thoroughly out boxed, it doesn't reflect well.
I'd like to see him bring in someone like Lennox Lewis or even a Teddy Atlas to give him some pointers and tips. I think a complete change in head trainer might not work at this stage and instead, he should be looking to bring in guys who can be in his corner and say what they see, without having to worry about being fired.
Freddie Roach a few years ago would have been a great addition.
I know some people may laugh at this suggestion but I think Adam Booth would be a good addition. Booth was able to bring out the best in Haye, due to Haye's physical gifts. AJ has similar physical weapons.
Yeh booth or even Mcguigan who his mate Okolie is trained by
I’m glad people are finally appreciating just how good fury is now, took people enough time.
Even more exciting because the best is still yet to come. We’ve just seen a just over half fit under trained Fury who had to deal with a lot of stress too recently (Covid and the ICU with his newborn situation), and still go in there and manage to put it to the back of his head and KO arguably one of the top 3 heavyweights, and despite getting knocked down twice
As a wise man once said, fury isn’t a champion he’s a great and if you think otherwise you’re either a jealous pr!ck or you don’t know $hit about boxing
That's why the best guys need to fight each other. Furys greatness was only revealed because he fought Wilder 3 times. Before that, he was fighting guys like Wallin, Schwarz and Seferi, who are C/D level fighters. I would still like to see Fury face some of the other top guys in division before he retires because despite being the best HW of his era, his resume isn't that great.
I think 3 more fights and Fury can retire:
1. Whyte (If he beats Wallin)
2. AJ vs Usyk winner
3. Chisora (As a farewell fight)
Don’t think he should retire think he needs to be more active
2-3 fights a year for the next 3-4 years then go do acting or wwe
True
Hammer
Klitschko
Wilder x3
Chisora x2 (albeit prime Chisora in first fight)
Wallin
Rest is pretty mediocre resume wise, and I feel like we always see the best of fury the bigger the fight
Hope he doesn't waste another fight on Chisora. Chisora can't do anything against any top fighter, never mind Fury.
Whyte
Usyk
Joshua
After that there is nothing left for him. Maybe Ruiz Jr or Joyce, that's about it.
He will have a few fights and take another break. Then come back in 2 years again and wipe the floor
According to Tyson anyway

I'd love for him to be active but Fury isn't that type of a fighter. He only gets up for the big fights and there are maybe only 1 or 2 of them left. I can see Fury only fighting once every year, for the next 3 years.
Sky trying to promote Hughie Fury from the success of Tyson
I read that Bob Arum has talked with Eddie Hearn for AJ to step aside so Fury can fight Usyk next for Undisputed. Then AJ can fight the winner. Not a bad idea as AJ doesn't look capable of beating Usyk and this way we could still get the Fury vs AJ fight that everyone wanted if Fury beats Usyk.

Eddie and AJ have already exercised the rematch clause, so that fight is happening. I can't see AJ stepping aside and not trying to avenge the defeat against Usyk. Whether he does win the rematch, remains to be seen but I think it would be good for british boxing if AJ wins.
Would be great for British boxing if AJ wins, that goes without saying. But on the flipside another loss to Usyk leaves AJ's career in a strange place.
Personally I'd prefer to see Fury and Usyk fight next. Wilder and AJ can finally square off in the meantime. If AJ beats Wilder then he can get a crack at the winner of Fury vs Usyk. That's what I'd like to see anyway in am ideal world.
I fear for AJ if he fights Usyk next and loses that rematch. I think he probably calls it quits which would be a shame for the HW division as we'll never get to see AJ fight either Fury or Wilder. Tragic really.
I'd still like to see Fury fight AJ even if AJ loses the rematch against Usyk. Fury could beat Usyk but unless he fights AJ I wouldn't say he's properly fulfilled conquering the division, given all the hype around the 2 of them fighting. AJ offers the size and power that Usyk doesn't quite have so it's a different threat for Fury even if it would probably be a comfortable win for him.
I just want to see all these heavyweights fight one another really. Fury vs Whyte would be great for all the pre-fight build up and banter.
If AJ loses to Usyk, the Fury fight is gone.
I'd love to see Fury vs Whyte or AJ vs Wilder but something tells me that these guys will not be hanging around for too long, especially Fury.
