Whyte will be gutted about that performance. To wait so long for a title shot and to go out without even troubling Fury is a bad look. I didn't expect a Whyte win but I thpught he would make it a fight and leave everything out there. Unfortunately he didn't and now he goes back home having just suffered complete domination in front of millions.

He simply couldnt fury wouldnt let him, tied him up anytime he got close. Coukd see whytes frustration too, he knew it.

Reminded me of hatton vs mayweather, anytime hatton got in close to work the body mayweather tied him up or turned his back and the ref split em up or warned hatton. Not really a fan of it but i guess its what they call smart.

It’s worth remembering whyte went life and death with both chisora twice and Parker. That’s the reality of what his level actually is. I said that a few months back and was talked down. It’s such an overused cliche but there’s levels to this and Fury too big too strong too quick
----------------------------------------------------------------------
White is a better boxer than what he showed last night.
I could tell in the first 30 seconds that he was not ring fit, not even anywhere near it.
He couldn't move his body and looked like he was struggling to move his arms, those "haymakers" he was throwing were embarrassingly bad.

He was there for the payday, nothing else. There is no way he trained hard for this fight.

if that's the case, it's a disgrace

he's been moaning about getting a world title shot for years. and when he gets the chance, he doesn't even prepare properly for it

terrible

He definitely trained he just put a stone on to try to get more power, and as a result he looked so heavy and his legs looked even stiffer than they usually are

That’s the problem, you feel the need to put on more muscle to try stop fury because you know that’s the only way you “might” win.

This Otto Wallin is such a mug talk about living off something, literally one lucky punch that cut fury and still got outboxed for pretty much 99% of the rest of the fight yet still lives off it

Wish fury would rematch him and just take him out in 2 rounds like he would to shut him up

Did he put on more weight though?
Pretty sure he was similar weight Vs AJ

Whyte was always a level below Fury and last night showed it. There was nothing he could threaten Fury with, the only way Fury could lose was through a cut or Fury himself not feeling 100%. Whyte's not as powerful as Wilder so no chance of knocking Fury out and less chance of knocking him down, and in terms of skill he's not even as good as Joshua.

I've actually gained a bit more respect for Wilder out of this. Wilder was completely spent in the second round of their second fight but even he lasted longer than Whyte.

Another good Kronk style win for Fury. Knew this fight definitely wasn't going to cards either way.

There's no way that Tyson can retire after this. One more fight to be the first undisputed Heavyweight Champion since Lewis.

If it's Usyk he fights for it then it should be easy work according to Fury. If it's AJ then it will be a ridiculously huge fight. So either way he has to take that fight otherwise it will tarnish all the hard work and achievements he's done to this point.

Well July is the month for AJ v usyk apparently. 10 months since the first one.

They should change it so if neither boxer is badly injured then the rematch should happen within 6 months at the very longest. These long waits are silly, all these boxers have gotten old fast and haven't had many fights.

Yeah it gets tedious having to wait years for all these fights to happen. I know covid was obviously a factor but we really should have seen Fury, AJ, Wilder all fight each other by now and it's disappointing that we only saw one of those possible three matchups.

You must be disappointed mate, bigging up Whyte all these years on here and he craps the bed in his big chance

Annoying that people are already trying to claim Fury as being better than Ali. Back in Ali's day they weren't having 1 fight a year, and it was 15 rounds. Ali fought over 60 times, and it looks like Fury wants to retire after his 33rd fight. Work that out.

Ali suffered from Parkinson’s

Tyson probably sees that and wants to get out with as much as he can and enjoy his later years

I think if Fury takes on the unification fight and then retires - no one can criticise him.

I would be disappointed if he didn't fight the winner of AJ v Usyk II though

I get and respect that but it's still to Ali's credit that he fought so many fights and he fought the best of his era. Fury won't have fought all the best of his era if he retires now, he will only have fought half of it.

I still wouldn't even put Fury above Lewis yet.

Fury’s just saying the retirement stuff so he can command more money when the undisputed comes later in the year

For me

1. Fury
2. Lennox
3. Ali

Me either. Lewis was immense and he beat so many excellent heavyweights that probably would have dominated in this era. And Lewis stayed at the top for way longer over way more many fights than Fury has managed so far.

Me too. I'd love to see any of AJ, Whyte and Wilder fight each other at this point as I think there are some great fights and matchups in there.
