Do people genuinely think a 7ft heavyweight champion boxer who fought the hardest puncher in the division 3 times is scared to fight anyone especially Usyk?
Lol
Mind games over contracts and probably wants a few weeks extra camp, but scared to fight Usyk? Come on be real
Usyk has 3 titles and is going into his opponents backyard, of course he would want a rematch clause. If there was any fight to have a rematch clause in, it's a undisputed fight. There are no other fights. This is the fight. All 4 belts on the line.

There are different types of fear.
Fury isn't afraid of Usyk but his actions indicate he fears losing to Usyk.

If I have learned one thing its that boxing fanboys are some of the most immature and annoying fans of any sport to deal with.
It's so embarrassing from Fury now. He is pulling a Riddick Bowe, only he isn't putting his belt in the bin, just his legacy.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. I don't know how people can't differentiate between being afraid of fighting someone, and being afraid of losing to someone. Obviously he isn't afraid of fighting anyone and getting hurt by them as he proved with Wilder, and Usyk would never knock him down or out anyway. But fearing that he loses his 0 I guess has some believability to it because Usyk is an elite fighter and if Fury loses his 0 to someone he called a pumped up middleweight, it definitely diminishes him.
Also, Fury had no issues with a rematch clause in the Wilder fights and the AJ discussions. It's peculiar that he suddenly doesn't want them.
Furys ability and standing as the best HW cannot be disputed but let's be honest, he's consistently contradicting himself and it's hard to tell who the genuine Fury really is. He has so many masks, I suspect he forgets which one he has on.

it entirely depends on what mood he is in that day as to what fury you get.
Just out of interest, when you say he’s the best HW, you mean of his generation right?
I mean, he obviously doesn’t make the top 20 of all-time list…,

They were worth a lot of money.
The Arabs aren't interested in paying for this fight either are the Americans.
It's about getting the most bang for his buck. He's probably got 2/3 years left at most and he knows he wants to beat all of this generations big boxers. Get the belts and move on to the big money fights as undisputed.
Not winning and the all the heel dragging starts again. Get this done in 1 fight. Fury will be way too good for him.

If he has all the belts and is undisputed lineal world heavyweight champion he's going very high up on that list.
I always felt he didn't really want the fight as far back as last year. He never seemed to call Usyk out. When he was asked about coming out of retirement to fight him, it was only if there was "half a billy" on the table. He also spoke about Usyk not being in his era which is of course complete rubbish. So all in all it looked like a lack of interest.
The fact negotiations have gone the way they have for this fight is therefore not that big a surprise to me and confirming my feeling that he doesn't want the fight. This latest talk of wanting no rematch clause just comes across as Fury stalling and playing Usyk to make him pull out so that Fury gets what he initially wanted.
Any spanner in the works he can use to prevent it from happening, and Usyk's manager believes this too now.

AJ dodged it better than Andy Ruiz' bingo wing.
The real money is in that fight with all the belts. Fury will school him when it is inevitably made next.

tbf I dont think people can confidently say that.
How they would react to Fury's size is unknown , but its about opinions. I personally think Lennox Lewis had all the tools to beat any HW fighter to have laced up gloves, but with his career I wouldnt have him as the best.
But Fury could possibly "Klitschko" them all to become the dullest champ of all time but still beat them.
They will want AJ to have a few more fights, ride that gravy train a little more before giving him the big fight because it's a career ender when he loses.
Ruiz took away his invincibility and he's been a pale shadow of his former self since, not that he ever truly had the chin for cleaning up the division but still.
Wilder the only one that I think can beat Fury and that's relying on a lot of luck

And yet here we are with Fury being the sole reason this Usyk fight hasn't been made. Nothing to do with the promoters.
Also the AJ/Fury fight only deteriorated once Fury started making deadlines. It had been admitted by both parties that the negotiations were going well up until that point. It's as if he is playing the same tricks with Usyk - putting out a social media video with an unrealistic demand.
Not to mention when the fight was supposed to happen in Saudi in 2021 only for Fury to end up fighting Wilder at the last minute. Don't tell me he or his team didn't know that the arbitration ruling was a real possibility by that point.
