The Sky sports poll had an even split on either Fury or Usyk winning on points btw
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I ignored that poll and their scores.

Clearly a lot of fury bumlickers in here. People thinking he's the same fighter than he was a few years back
fkin ell boi
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re an absolute cant. Im an Usyk fan, not a Fury one but I still know you’re talking shiiiiit
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s a bad take Ali... mans just giving respect to Fury.
But nobody begrudges Usyk,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No it's just common sense but people are easily swayed / fickle because he put up an "ok" performance against a guy closing in on 40 now.
This fury is not the same fighter that he used to be. Not even close.
AJ would batter him but unfortunately we aren't going to see that fight any time soon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
AJ is more concerned about his celebrity status and has been overrated his whole career. Fury would beat him comfortably.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Agree to disagree
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When he turned pro everyone was going on about him being one of the greatest ever. He’s not even close to being the best British fighter.

That’s the very definition of overrated
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm talking present day mate.
Fury is not as good as he was, it's a simple fact. AJ is much improved recently. Fury got rattled by a few hits from Usyk who has nowhere near the power of AJ.
Fury cannot move as quick as he used to.
Anyway. Agree to disagree

Usyk is better than Holyfield easily.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Usyk would beat Holyfield.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yup. Usyk is just too good. He'd have beaten Lewis too I reckon.

It looked comfortable for Fury at one stage but typical Usyk, comes into the fight more in the latter half. He just keeps getting better as the fights go on.

The rematch is contractual - so I think it will go ahead
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Plenty of examples where people step aside for a wedge of money if there's a bigger money fight to be made.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What’s the bigger money fight than these two?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Domestically Fury v AJ even without belts.

Is the rematch for all the belts?

I rate Lewis highly. Was definitely the best of his generation. But Usyk is an amazing fighter. Lewis is a better HW cause of his longevity and resume in it, but Usyk is the better boxer overall.

Let’s remember Fury had Usyk looking very ordinary in those middle rounds. He was hurt and looked groggy. Usyk isn’t invincible. Fury will be kicking himself that he got sloppy afterwards and of course credit to Usyk for taking full advantage

Hmm… the moment Tyson fought somebody that wasn’t afraid or over the hill, he got knocked out, and he never recovered.
Evander Holyfield was different gravy…. And I see him beating Usyk,

We've been told Usyk has looked ordinary against Chisora, Dubois, even Bellew in the earlier rounds but he always goes up another gear and takes control.

He does - but tonight Fury let him off the hook. The other boxers Usyk fought weren’t capable of beating him - I do think Fury is the only one who potentially can. Tonight he will be kicking himself. I still think Usyk is better than Fury but not hugely

People tend to judge Lewis on the later stages of his career when he wasn't actually at his prime.

A motivated, prime Lewis would beat Usyk

He doesn’t beat Frasier. When Frasiers left connects, it finishes anyone. He beat a prime Ali ffs.

Foreman is interesting - really no idea how that would go

Usyk wouldn't beat the early version of Ali.

I think the later version of Ali would be too cute for him too.

But they would be great fights.
