What reviews are you reading?

The majority have been positive.

Guardian and vulture said it was ok at best. Some positives seem to center around it’s semi tribute elements to Bosewick.

Black widow is an awful film. Was like a middle of the road big standard action movie. Totally derivative.

reviews this early are from fan boys and haters. none of them can be taken seriously.

These aren't day 1 reviews or early social media reactions, they're from all the trades.

I'm not saying they're ovewhelmingly amazing but it hasn't been 'taking a bit of a kicking' as Baz claims.

Failing that it pre screening reviews, that are normally over rated to ensure the reviewer maintains their privelages.

1. Shang Chi
2. Spiderman NWH
3. Eternals
4. Dr Strange 2

Two, yes. They tend to be largely on the money though. I predict it will be watchable and entertaining enough but pretty forgettable

…so I’m looking forward to pun’s 10/10 rating

yes but they are still day 1 reviews or pre screening reviews that will be made up of fan boys haters and those being given privelages.

When it comes to these types of films however ignore reviews. the genre attracts such a mix variety of viewers and therefore similar mixed POV's.

Especially when its so close to release date and headlines need to be created in order to get viewers/ readers attention that will be cluttered with similar content/reviews.

Ok, poor and generic. That’s more fitting. I couldn’t give a fack about it after literally 25 mins. That’s a poor film to me, it couldn’t grab my attention at all…except for Pugh

it was a little forgettable but that was due to it being so average. if it was awful you would remember most of it for being so bad, likewise for it being excellent.

but I agree nothing too memorable at all. It still is watchable and I would recommend even if just to fill some gaps and add depth to a very popular character

Nope, poor and generic can work. Generic- devoid of originality, abd very derivative and poor for it being so utterly souless and forgettable not to mention an attention deflector.

One of the poorer marvel films, and they’ve had quite a few.

generic is just normal, run of the mill, blends in, doesnt stand out. it doesnt mean poorer and average or below normal.

Don’t agree with that. The bar isn’t that high at all. It’s somewhere in the middle. They just tend to be overated by many. Some ofcourse are very good, but on average they are passably entertaining but flawed. But I speak as a movie fan not really a comic book fan.

they 100% changed the game and set the bar.

they took that bar, snapped it and replaced it with a bar far far higher than it ever was.

Black widow is below average for me and a poor film.

Thor 4 should not be on any lists. In fact, they should use Loki season 2 and have that movie wiped away.

i thought it was ok.

wouldnt watch it again but a solid - 5/10, distinctly average, wouldnt say it was awful or poor. just a generic average film.

i do think it is hindered by the high bar set by the vast majority of the rest of Marvel films.

I also think it enhanced the over all story a little more.
