I think we need to clarify where the bar sits. Are we talking a high bar for comic book movies or for all movies regardless of genre?

If it's the latter, no MCU movie even gets anything above a 7 for me.

I agree with this, but should they not be just judged the same as any other movie? We don’t give say something like aliens it’s own rating scale. That’s how I was rating them, in the same scale as other films, which may have caused confusion

Do t think it matters, you rate it on it’s merits not it’s subject imo. Naturally some will feel more drawn to some types of movies than others.

Na, Nolan has this way (and part of it is down to zimmer’s amazing scores) of creating tension throughout his movies. He’s first class at it.

I'm not saying they bad movies...just not worth the hype

I liked the first two acts very much, the ending was a bit of a fumble though
