I did love Snipes but they've got the perfect replacement I think

What did we all think of the announcements? Some very interesting details about the films we already knew were coming, Dr Strange 2 in particular looks crazy.

Hyped for Blade but that's Phase 5.

Tbh I’m more hyped for the tv shows than the upcoming films.

I doubt I'll watch any of the tv shows tbh...unless they're ridiculously good. I doubt it though.

Amped for Thor, Blade and Dr. Strange 2.

Interesting announcements and it looks like Disney are going big on Marvel for their new streaming service, which will put a massive bit of pressure on Netflix.

I don't expect the shows to have as little impact on the MCU as the Defenders shows did on Netflix - it looks like the Scarlett Witch show will then have a significant knock-on effect to the next Dr Strange movie as she'll unlock her full range of powers and be far more 'witch-like'.

Everything looks a bit more like the comics in this phase.

Huge rumours going around that Sony and Marvel have had a major dispute and Spidey is coming out of the MCU.

Tell me this isn't true?

I've just read this. They tried to renew a deal but Disney wanted 50% so Sony have walked away. Tom Holland is signed up for another 2 movies with Sony which will be a bit weird as they will most likely drop everything done with his character so far.

Unless Sony is planning a Venom/Spiderman crossover. Then I'm intrigued.

Will be hard for it not to be the existing Spiderman though.

Absolute clusterfck. Venom appearing in Sony movies at the same time as Spidey appearing in Disney movies was always bizarre to me and it seemed inevitable this day would come.

Sony obviously want Spidey back in their Sony Universe to do crossover movies with Tom Hardy's Venom. Will Sony be able to use Tom Holland's version of Spidey? Seems unlikely even if he is contracted for more movies in which case we'll be getting yet another actor in yet another reiteration of Spidey.

If I was Sony I would use the Miles Morales version of Spiderman going forward. That way Sony could crack on with their own Spidey universe using Miles Morales while Disney could carry on using the Tom Holland Spidey in the MCU.
