Henderson is a mediocre player, basically a pub version of James Milner
Slating Henderson is so 2015.
It's a litmus test of who understands professional football tbh.

What I will say about Herrera is that he does know how to disrupt a game, tactical fouls, drawing fouls, and general chithousery.
Wish our lot had a bit of that to take sting out of games.

Every top side has one or two, you need it on big European nights at times.

FACTS.

spain>Liverpool
true facts

England are ranked above Spain.

A few good games and United fans are running before they can walk.
Looking forward to the next false dawn on the horizon because raving about Herrera is insufferable, there is a reason he's been in and out with so many different managers.
Trophies won:
Herrera - a few
Henderson - probably not as many
Think that settles this. Close the thread.
One starts for and captains one of the top ten sides world club football.
The other doesn't.

That criteria must put Ashley Young above a fair few quality fullbacks then.

Well Ashley Young captains United a lot, doesn't he?
Don't know about you, but there are probably hundreds of players I'd choose at full back over him!
Hardly a ringing endorsement of quality.

Henderson is the kind of player who fills a position in your midfield when you've missed out on the opportunity to buy the player you really wanted to fill that position.

Depends what measure you're using.
Ultimately both clubs have the same sort of standards when it comes to players who start.
Just imagine if Liverpool had Alonso and Mascherano behind the current front three. Having enjoyed a world class midfield, I'm a little surprised that they go so overboard about Henderson.

I'm using the measurement if being good at football. Utd are not top ten material in world football and I doubt you'll find a single person who says they are.
Happy for people to name ten sides better than Liverpool fwiw.
Henderson head and shoulders above Herrara who doesnt actually do anything but run around. Average at a load of things, excellent at nothing. Hence why he doesnt play for his country.
Robbing_Hoody - as a rule I don't trust a man who doesn't drink but I do trust James Milner (U6374)
That isn't a measurement of any credence and of course, you know that.
As I said, ultimatrly both clubs have the same standards when considering starting XI - the idea that an average player has more chance of getting into United's team than Liverpool's because Liverpool are currently outperforming United is laughable.
Herrera all day long. Henderson is no more than a carthorse who prances about barking out orders. His ability with the ball has little to be desired and he has a bad gait to boot.

It's irrelevant, as my post explained.
Taking a team's current performance and using that to suggest an average player has a better chance of starting at United than they do at Liverpool is ridiculous.
Of course, you'll know that but just want to argue.

If Henderson had a Spanish granny he'd walk into the Spain team and then this would be an easy debate for the Liverpool fans to win.
