TOOR is now ignoring the objections to his ridiculous International football point.
What a shock.
Listen lads, we can all have our opinion over who is better out of the two, but don't start making up ridiculous criteria like that and expect it to be taken seriously.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Instead just say Herrera is better despite being average for seasons, in an average team and not getting in the squad for his country, off the back of a single good game. Any criteria put forward will henceforth be ignored and rubbished as we want to put our fingers in our ears, close our eyes and scream "na, na, na!".
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nope, just the criteria about International football that you're desperately trying to avoid because you have realised just what a stupid comment it was

Not a single LFC fan would be up in arms if they signed e.g. Verratti this summer and Henderson was sold to, let's say Arsenal. He's a decent player, don't get me wrong.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I doubt anybody would be upset to sign a world class player to replace a player who isn't world class. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. If it's simply that Henderson isn't a world class player and Veratti is better than him, then I doubt you'll find anybody disagreeing with you.
As a spectator Herrera seems generally the better player to me, irrespective of what national coaches think. He's just got a bit more to his game. Not saying Henderson is poor though.
All the managers who play Hendo and rave abkut him shows he's a very good player. He's a footballers footballer, if say Herrera is sinilar in that the people who play with him really like him but he's not the dynamic type who catches the eye like say Gerrard would have.
Herrera has a real snide to his game, I like that even if it got Gerrard sent off that day.

What more does he have? He's always been average and not excelled in anything so I'm struggling to think of anything he has more than Henderson. Speaks better Spanish? Has a better tan?
TOOR, you realise that it's just your opinion though, right?
You can't just say 'Henderson is better at passing' and it becomes a fact.
I think Herrera adds more to the team personally. Getting into a checklist of qualities is pointless.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I do. It isn't pointless at all. If you think he adds more there must be a reason for it, especially since he's been average for seasons, in an average team(in my opinion), gets dropped by various managers and can't even get in the squad of his national team. Whilst the other is a fundamental part of the team and is captain of the team that got to a CL final and currently joint top of the league with a game in hand.
So yeah you can have the opinion but surely you can back up your opinion with something, rather than he just adds more to the team. In what way exactly does he add more?
There'sOnlyOneReds (U1721)
Well it is - football isn't as black and white as that, and we're never going to agree on all the points.
But you're still bringing the national team into this - so either you're trolling or you're just not bright enough to have this discussion.
Would Henderson get anywhere near the Spain squad?
Engage your brain TOOR.
If we use your argument, Toor, then one coild saying Fellaini is a good midfielder. He gets into the Belgium side and that team is better than England.
TOOR is a wum, and a pretty obvious one too if this thread is anything to go by

Well that's great but our midfield isn't set up to score goals, we play a quick game where are midfielders find the quick and skillful players up front and they score the goals. It seems to work better and be more balanced evidenced by us having conceded the least goals and being one of the highest scorers, whilst be joint top of the league with a game in hand. But yes, I'll give you Herrera scores more goals, barely with a paltry three and gets more assists, again barely with a paltry three but then if you want to compare goals and assists, why not compare him against our players who are set up in the team to provide goals and assists? I don't think he'd come put of that looking good, do you?

Yes Henderson would at least get in the Spain squad, in my opinion. He gets in every team he's been eligible for and captains them, since a young age. Managers see it, people who watch him see it, they can't all be stupid, surely?
You asked what Herrera has that Henderson doesn't and I gave you 2 examples, goals and assists, so let's hear what Henderson has that Herrera doesn't have
This should be good
Hendo should have at least an assist this season but it's just not happened when he's played one of the lads in.
He scored and assisted a good bit in his earlier career with us and when played further forward does contribute to the attack.
Was great last night at doing exactly what Klopp wants him to do. And I'm not his biggest fan he does frustrate me, like I'd like to see him show for the ball more and play more risk passes but that's not what Klopp wants him to do.

Well yes, if you want to compare stats which are things in our system that come from the three in attack. Perhaps compare him to Shaqiri? He played in our midfield, a lot less minutes than Herrara I'm sure, when we tried to go a bit more attacking against teams who were defending very deep and we had injuries. He has six goals and two assists.
