I always wondered why that dude was pretending to be unfit...
Euron could've been up there but the show wasted his character and the casting wasn't the best either.
-------------------------------------------------
Wasn't the best? His casting was awful
If there's one character that epitomizes the downfall of the show post S4-S5, terms of personal motivation, credibility, casting, acting, authenticity to the source material, etc... it's Euron.
Showrunners trying to recreate that supervillain like quality Iwon Rheon had and failing on every level when it wasn't necessary in the first place. With Ramsey it made sense because there's no way an authentic replication of his book counterpart was gunna translate to the screen, but Euron had much more scope to be faithful to the source material which would've created a far more unique character. Nevermind the obsession with black magic, his connection to dragons with the binderhorn, etc... just the fact he's depicted on the show as a great fighter misses the mark. Book Euron is the king of psychological warfare (his enemies, his own men, doesn't matter) - almost never gets his hands dirty himself.
I could rant all day about that impostor whose only motivation was "I want to f*** the queen"
He was a crafty old sod. Making out he could hardly walk but enjoyed a slapper or two every other hour.
Quality.
Tywin and Olenna were great characters and performers.
Always on point
Then came season 8.........
One of the great moments was Arya feeding Frey his sons, then slitting his throat, was almost an afterthought, but great scene..
Ayra is the only Stark character I can actually connect with. I know some people might not like how she just mastered her ninja art but as a character she's brilliant.
The only Stark family member that doesn't have this false self righteous noble high horse of theirs.
She just wants revenge.
She was my favourite character for that reason.
still looks like a small child
It's hard to distinguish between favourite characters and favourite actors, IMO. Based on the books & the show, combined:
1. Ned Stark (The OG)
2. Oberyn Martell
3. Ramsey Bolton
4. Tywin Lannister
5. Jaime Lannister (although the last couple episodes ruined this).
There's a lot of characters I used to / still love in the books, but the show has ruined them for so long now that I'm no longer interested in their stories:
Tyrion
Arya
Bran
Varys
Littlefinger
Also, maybe the best actor on the show, but I always found his book chapters kind of painful reading after the first couple books:
Theon Greyjoy.

Yeah that goes to Hodor.
Also think a special mention is needed for King Bobby B AKA Rob Baratheon, the only ruler we have seen so far that hasn't torched part of his own city.
Im hoping this weekends finale isn't as bad as the Dexter one (Im not saying seeing Jon snow pilot a boat into a tropical hurricane only to resurface as a lumberjack north of the wall wouldn't entertain me but THAT was the most disappointed I had been with any TV show I followed)

rooney_hernandez presents another good top 5 list. Best acting performances on the show. Almost harder than top 5 characters cos the talent in this series has been immense.
1. Lena Headley (good as anything on TV the last 10 years)
2. Peter Dinklage
3. Jack Gleeson (could be 2nd with no argument from me)
4 & 5 is a tie between Iwan Rheon & Alfie Allen. I'd probably nudge it to Alfie Allen just because of the challenges the Theon role presented compared to Ramsey. As a overall successful book to TV adaptation of a character, knowing it had to be toned down massively and getting the balance right, everyone involved with the creation of the Ramsey character on the show deserves credit including Iwan Rheon - but with the end result being a character who entertained you in a supervillain type way as much as getting you to loath him, Alfie Allen as a harder job getting the audience to go through a serious redemption story and he succeeded in the end (IMO anyway).
Actually dreading the last episode.

500k people signed a petition about a tv show that’s not been nearly as bad as made out. Fackers didn’t do it in important things that matter. Have a long look at yourselves, anyone who signed that.imagibe what led you to being a twaaaat.
Stop crying and roll with it. The show has surprised at every turn. Now that they’ve true to hurry up THE most convoluted plot ever to air, people cry over stupid stuff because it’s not the way they wanted.
Sort it out.
Sorry, what was that? I couldn't understand you with all of those shltty writers balls in your mouth.

Right, we are all set for the most anti-climactic season finale ever, but there has to be a "winner" in who gets the iron throne in the end.
Bookies favourites are (in order)
Bran (wow!!)
Sansa
Tyrion
Jon
Dany
Gendry
Arya
So Bran is favourite? If it does turn out that he's been playing the game of thrones all this time i will be disappointed with the pathetic writing this season. Just such a cop out.
I hope it will be between Sansa and Tyrion. They know how to survive somehow and will be rewarded for staying smart.
Jon and Danybare goners. Both will be killed.
Arya will return to the House of Black and White as everyone will assume she's dead.
The end

That petition reached 1 million last night
Big misconception that everyone hates this series because it's not what they wanted, completely true. Everything's that's happened most people would've rolled with if it was written better - Arya killing TNK, Euron killing Rhegal, Dany turning heel, etc... none of these things are bad in principle, especially Dany/Mad Queen, it was the terrible way they were executed.
Well if last week's episode was divisive the finale certainly won't have satisfied many either ...
It's crap now.
A victim of its own greatness.
There was no way people would have been unanimously happy with the ending.
What the hell was that?
First 30mins was interesting. What was the rest of it?
How many times do we have to say that we don't have a problem with the direction the show has taken with the storylines...just the way it is done.
Shambles of an episode, let alone a fecking series finale. Pathetic.
