I'm pretty sure Neil Lennon has been in place for a few months rather than a few days?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On a permanent basis.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

whats the difference?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Given that Lennon has been in place for a while and was talking prior to being given the job permanently about what he's looking for in the summer, and given that Celtic seem to regularly have meetings about transfer targets, are you suggesting that Lennon just being appointed has meant Celtic have sat on their thumbs for the last few months and not worked on any transfer targets?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We have all seen the dossier.

Clearly a LOT of work has been going on behind the scenes

For me is to look at how much we've regressed since Rodgers first season.

Gordon

Lustig
Erik
Toure
KT

Brown
Biton

Roberts
Rogic
Sinclair

Dembele

Add in Forrest who obviously started to come into it as the months went on that first season as well as McGregor and it's arguably the loss of 2 players that made the big difference.

Roberts and Dembele.

Armstrong was also a loss but those 2 were a level above everything else in Scotland.

Ah! My bad.

O’Neill’s team was unsustainable. That’s how we ended up in so much debt. He was relatively fortunate that the spine of the team was already there. Similar to Rodgers-the core of the team was in place, and he managed to get the best out of them.

I'm sure the wage bill just now is bigger than that one from the Seville year

Probably because of Rodger's wage

posted on 6/6/19

we never capitalised on transfers under o'neil tbh.

could have sold one or two and refreshed the squad.

think we had about 30 million of debt when strachan took over?

We probs need what 5 players?

A RB 100%
A LB 100%
2 centre backs
Turnbull (we need to sign him)

IF we can get quality there that would be a decent window. Some might say a striker also but a fully fit Griffiths and hopefully Bayo should be enough there with Edouard the main man. Shved to also come in and Dembele will be more involved I'd imagine next season.
