We'd been linked to him for a while hadn't we? I'm sure it could have been done sooner.

One thing I liked about the business we did last summer, even if the signings haven't quite met expectations, is that they were done in a timely fashion.

Let's not pretend this isn't commonplace for us and Levy, whether it's summer or winter. It just so happened that we got our business done early and efficiently last summer for once.

I’ve got a feeling that Sporting will screw us over for Porro…

We’ve finally agreed to pay the asking price, but they’re now saying things like…

‘Can he play for us in the Cup Final over the weekend’ !

Or that they don’t want to sell this window, unless we bring in a replacement etc…

I’d still keep Emerson , I think there is a player in there and I quite like him (centre back maybe like others have said)

Doherty and Sessgnon can go ….had huge hopes for Sessgnon but he just doesn’t have it …Perisic will be nearly dead next season so utilise as a utility man

I’d gladly see him in over Sessgnon , thought he looked good in the World Cup too but that can be hit and miss admittedly

I guess the argument would be that whilst hakimi isn't particularly good in buildup he isn't a huge risk taker like porro is

but I think regardless the attacking upside seems so good he'll still be a huge plus

Think it's just the terms of payment that's the issue. If we paid it outright then we could take him any time. But Levy is probably trying to spread payment over the next 125 years or something.
