Can’t see us getting Maddison at all. We just won’t push the boat out even if we think it’s a bit expensive

Worse case he stays there for a year and someone snaps him up for free next summer like Raya.

I would not mind it if Levy left this until the last few weeks of the window, if it goes that far.

Porro? Yes he is but that fee is too crazy. He is a £25m player tops.

Porro was worth what sporting wanted as they didn’t want to sell.

He’s a good player and was up there as one of our most productive players once he joined

Agreed but he also cost us a few goals too.

When you said we won't push the boat out for players, imo we did with this guy. He might improve next season and start paying back what we paid, but the jury will be out until then.

Back to Maddison, I would be quite happy to sign any alternative if Leicester start acting like Brentford did with Raya. If the gulf is too big between the two clubs, then walk away and move on the next.

So this summer we’ll have spent around £82m and not really improved much if at all

Gibbs-White please

Gibbs-White cost £25m rising to £40m. If we can't afford Maddison that rules out Gibbs-White too.

It seems as if there is an intent to increase our homegrown levels in the squad which I believe we need to do, and partly why we've looked at Raya, Maddison and other English players. But it turns out we're just signing more non-HG with the links to English players looking dead in the water. And presumably we'll be trying to offload Winks, Tanganga, maybe even Dier.

Fair enough. We also gave Sporting 15% of Marcus Edwards so we now own 35% of him. He has a release clause of £52m(which will never be met).

Technically we have waived off £7.8m of our share of £26m. #Pantsdown.

Still holding out hope for Djed. I guess worst case he's still worth 20m

I think if someone came in with an offer to get our money back we would look to move him on to use the money elsewhere in the team

So with Son potentially missing Most of jan for the Asia cup or something does that make a new wide player a must this summer?

Depends on if gill is starting and if we keep a young forward like Parrott ( who isn’t good enough imo ) to be on bench so Richarlison could play left

Richarlison is best on the left anyways. Gil likes running at people. If Perisic sticks around I think he's decent cover too
