They are - Spence has earned himself a reprieve this pre season apparently - talk of that Serie A loan being the making of him. Also, he is apparently really close mates to Udogie

It's not just midfied. Son and BJ aren't the best at keeping possession either or winning the ball back.

Neto’s stats aren’t great and his injury record is awful. Kulu has actually outperformed statistically.

I hope we are going to get Eze, I said earlier I preferred him to Neto as he covers 10

Milan have pulled out of negotiations for Royal.

If ever there was a reason to hate the way we operate then frankly that's it. It's completely indefensible. The deal has collapsed because we've been trying to wring out as much from the deal as possible. Now they've moved on. That will unquestionably affect incomings.

How anyone can defend Levy at this point is just incredible.

I can only go by the reports as they stand at the time. Just cos Ben Jacobs doesn't know his arssse from him elbow doesn't mean the others are the same. Fab has reported the Neto one so it's obviously pretty far down the line.

I think if we had a little knowledge on how desperate Ange was for Neto, it would calm things a little. If he was the number one target, it makes you wonder why we've delayed the deal to work on others instead. If he wasn't a priority, fine.

My hunch is we've been shafted by Mendes once again.

Neto could be brilliant at Chelsea - but I think his injury record makes him a dangerous purchase, I can see why the club were potentially not sold on that deal. Great player though.

Hopefully means we push the boat out for Eze now

Yeah, I was surprised at the interest. He's an amazing player but his hamstring record alone is pretty poor. Once they start to kick in, the speed begins to drop. It's a risk.

Saying that, he is a better fit for Ange's system than Eze. For a start he can work on either flank and is adept at staying wide and cutting in low crosses. Eze is very much in the Son mould where he's more an individual ball carrier that cuts inside to do his work where things are more congested.

We definitely need improvement in that area but feck knows where we find it now.
