Just watched the video of Spurs match vs Bayern…horrific defending… still can’t defend set peices…

Spence is no left back… Davies shouldn’t be anywhere near 1st team… we need reinforcements at LB & LCB!!

posted on 11/8/24

We are still short of a GK, LCB, LB, CDM & AWF in my opinion, I will join the loonie lefty`s if Levy gets all this done.

We will likely go with Forster who is not good enough and no competition for Vicario, Davies who is a mid table steady eddy and Skipp who has been left behind

We were never going to get everything done. We shot ourselves in the foot by not getting rid of unwanted players sooner leaving a lot of them for us to focus on this window. Thankfully we've managed to lose most of them.

None of what's left is really a main priority. We have a good first team on paper for every position. One or 2 positions are weaker than in others but we're relying on certain players to improve who should have performed better last season from what we know they're capable of. Emphasis is more on Ange now.

We should still get 2 in meaning we have DM and GK to worry about the most

Can’t say Ange has been backed if window ends like this

posted on 11/8/24

Ange has a net spend of around £230m so far, which is way more than any club in the prem since he joined, yet the squad still has holes init.

But our squad was a complete mess before he joined.

We’ve got rid of 12 players with Emerson, Gio & Reguilón still clinging on.

We’ve bought 11 first team players ( with also Werner on loan ).

That sort of turnover is crazy over 12 months while trying to change the way we play.

That includes Porro and Kulusevski right who were brought in by other managers

But Levy doesn't spend ?!?

We need to start plugging these gaps between now and the end of the window and finish what's left in January.

We have decided to spend on the future rather than sign that improvement player to the current midfield

We should be able to sign a right winger

competent left sided defender and goalie for just in case pretty inexpensively

All before end of window

Left side of defence, is our Achilles heel… If VDV or Udogie get injured, we will struggle..,especially at LB

We’ve got cup & Europa matches to contend with now, you can’t expect them to play every match… Davies & the deputies for Udogie, aren’t good enough!

Also the right forward line, needs an upgrade… Kulu & Johnson are too inconsistent.,,

I’m pleased with our business so far… but these two areas are glaringly obvious, that they need sorting… asap…

Potential LB's.

Bradley Locko 22 yrs old (Linked by POK) and Patrick Dorgu who is 19 and plays for Lecce.

Dorgu has played LCB in a friendly the other day but linked by some unheard of Italian outlet.

"I will summarize it very briefly: I want to be able to become a champion, play the Champions League and play myself in the team."

Sunderland hold significant interest in signing Dane Scarlett on loan. The club previously registered interest in his #thfc team-mate Will Lankshear, but their preference is Dane Scarlett due to his previous experience already playing senior football. [SI]
