We haven't signed Eze or Gallagher and they have been long term targets as well. Don't think we are prepared to pay what Palace want or the structure of the fee.
Do we even need him when a left sided defender or right winger should be priority?
We have enough left sided players and I am not convinced Eze would make a good number 8 to compete with Maddison. Defo offers something to Son or Werner but no point having three.
Do you really thing Leeds wanted to sell their own academy product Archie Gray? Of course not! We took advantage because of their own financial mess.
I'm not talking down Solanke but spending £65m on a position where we are well stacked doesn't make sense when we are under cooked at left defence and right wing.
Deki doesn't need to be a striker. He needs to be a good false 9 who can hold up the ball for likes of weak Son and BJ with a trick or two. And he is more dangerous at CF than any other position. Don't sleep on him with the other fishes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
False 9 ? have you been watching Spurs under Ange
Solanke suits the system. So does Richi to be fair, but he has not proven reliable so far.
We saw last season the low blocks killed us, esp. with Son up front. No striker and a false 9, how'd you expect that to be effective?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, I saw the two games at the end of last season and the way Kulu has performed in pre season. He played as a false 9 or no 9 and has done really well.
Pay attention.

I think we literally did it once when Richi Werner and Solomon were all injured and all we had was Son Deki and BJ
As for pre-season...Gray played as CB at time, Donley as LB...it's just fitness.
Fact is a striking trio of Richi Deki and Lankshear will get us nowhere serious...even if we had added Eze in behind them.
We still need that additional attacker but with the injury prone Neto going to CFC, Eze undecided, Doue seemingly PSG may be we loan someone this season, focus on other areas and make that a priority next time.
Odobert just signed from Burnley. WTF ๐. On official spurs insta and im guessing elsewhere
So so strange. Not even an announcement video or even photoshop “welcome to spurs” graphic.
We did more marketing for ashley philips and veliz ๐.
Saying that, looked decent for Burnley and only 19. Hope hes not our RW marquee signing instead of Neto though!
Anyone know anything about Wilson Odober?
Just had to check him out on YouTube… that’s our right winger signed, anyway
No doubt a cheap, Levy type deal!
Just need a left sided defender now… no doubt that will be a cheapo deal… one for the future again!
not signing anyone else for the first XI then
snore
Seems to be an upgrade on Brennan Johnson, though…
Can shoot with his left foot, for starters!
seems quick and both footed
another one for the future, not sure we are going to start him but would love us to and he turns out to be a gem

wtf is this narrative? If we sack Ange because we're 7th at Christmas we're facking facked
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just checked and both AVB and Mourinho were sacked while we were in 7th after failing to secure top 4 the season before, so we know it's well within Levy's capability. Whether he'd be more lenient with Ange I don't know.
Reading we paid about £25M for Odobert, Levy’s kinda prices.
Still, welcome to Tottenham, Wilson.

Arsenal do when they start Jesus up front and central - but that’s just because he is uber schitt
Saw a tweet I agreed with, we seem to be building a side that can stay in Europa places now, but has quality youth coming through that could compete at the upper end in a few years time.
I think it’s a good approach - as long as we go for the cups now, give the fans something to get excited about.
Real Madrid just won the league and CL with a front 3 of Vinicius, Rodrygo and Bellingham, but OK
Arsenal, Liverpool and Atletico typically play without a "proper" centre forward too
Even Harry Kane rarely played as a true striker considering how often he dropped deep to link and spread play... A bit like a false 9, you might say
Pre Haaland, City used plenty of false 9's.
Liverpool had Bobby F who was a false 9 as well. Won the league and CL.
