Pre Haaland, City used plenty of false 9's.

Liverpool had Bobby F who was a false 9 as well. Won the league and CL.

Suits me. Kulu in the 9 is his best position. I'm not expecting him to play every game because of Solanke, but between them they offer something different.

And Kulu looks more comfortable in the 9 than an 8 or on the wing.

Think he'll be cover at 10 for Maddison

This does have early poch vibes. Young team with some surprising us and becoming mainstays of a team that grew and developed together, to be challenging at the very top...Poch also grew in that time and Ange has to be 'humble' enough to also do the same.

Looking at the Leicester game, I think I'd be more encouraged by us keeping a clean sheet than I would a win there. Aside from a relegated Sheff United, who are literally one of the worst teams in PL history, we didn't keep a clean sheet for the last 11 games of last season and 1 game in total in our last 21 (against Villa).

Obviously a win is more important but if we are conceding goals like we were last season then we're going to find ourselves in trouble again.

Ange said he doesn’t see Kulu as a striker so with 2 strikers at the club now I doubt he’ll play any minutes there

Will play as a 10 or RW

Just play him (and everyone else) in their best positions. He has a fully fit squad so no excuses.
