Some times I wonder what the point of academies is, kids better to start off in the lower leagues and work there way up, doesn't work for all obviously

Interesting how players from our title winning u21/PL2 side are only deemed good enough for league 1 loans or perms to second division Spanish/portugese clubs.

I guess the jump to prem first team is just so high. Does ridicule the importance of an academy to first team pathway though
