Still think Solanke is a back up option. Wonder if they could sign someone not mentioned by Fab or anyone else but out of the blue?

Fridge referencing completely pointless nonsense again when people challenge with his extreme comments, ja606 heritage
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Extreme
Now that is funny. That couldn't be further from the truth. Read my responses on political threads and you'll see why you're couldn't be more wrong.
Also, if the measure of 'extreme' is wanting one of your worst players to leave, then I hold my hands up. Bang me up for the most heinous of crimes, sure.On that basis, there isn't a football fan in the land that isn't extreme.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Richarlson one of the worst ? Come on …I remember the days of Gary Doherty up front
He did okay / good when played last season
His fitness record is what should be questioned
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never rated him. Not at Watford. Not at Everton. Not at Spurs.
When I said 'one of our worst players' obviously I meant current squad. If we're opening it up to every era then of course, he's not been that bad but significantly underwhelming considering his cost. I remember when he signed everyone saying 'he's Brazil's number 9' but I simply said that that was a stain on Brazil's lack of depth rather than us signing a real talent. I just think he's a very limited player. It's all opinions though. Given he's not prolific, I'd expect a lot more to his game. If he's just going to be a target man to pop up with goals, he needs to be hitting 20+ every year to justify his inclusion. He's not even close to that and when you couple that with his injury record, I'm amazed others aren't seeing the same thing. I wish him the best but i don't want to see him in a spurs shirt again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2 goals every 3 games last season in terms of minutes played.
He deserves another chance and the biggest part of that is staying fit because if he does he will score goals in this team, like he did last season.
Dev,
Guaranteed if Solanke signs, he scores way more. Richy’s purple patch last year was the exception rather than the rule. He’s never scored more than 13 in any one prem season and that’s playing without injury. Sure, he played for limited teams but he was the focal point in those sides. Everything went through him. In his career his average is actually under 10 per season and if you’re not offering much more in terms of build up play, assists, pressing then that’s just not good enough. I’m amazed at the level of patience people have with him. In years gone by he’d have been a sub, without question. His numbers are worse than Pavlyuchenko who was only ever a sub for a far worse side.
Appreciate that Solanke isn’t a great deal better but I think he’ll score more and he’ll press for Ange better than Richy, who just isn’t mobile enough.
One of Richarlsons main assets is his pressing ….he works tirelessly
Definitely not a stick to beat him with
Yeah not being particularly fast or strong on the ball, poor first touch and close control in general. But he does run about

😂 now that I won’t argue with
A little over 3 weeks now - not long to wait. I would be miffed that we haven’t added a player that improves the starting 11 before the start of the season - if it wasn’t so predictable.
The fixtures on paper are kind - we should be winning the opening 2 and hopefully we have the likes of Solanke and possibly Neto available and up to speed for Newcastle away where we have been humbled the last couple of seasons
Milan have pulled out of negotiations for Royal.
If ever there was a reason to hate the way we operate then frankly that's it. It's completely indefensible. The deal has collapsed because we've been trying to wring out as much from the deal as possible. Now they've moved on. That will unquestionably affect incomings.
How anyone can defend Levy at this point is just incredible.

The priority was always to clear the decks but negotiating over the fractions we clearly are is frankly ridiculous in this day and age. The rumour was that the difference was in the 100s of thousands. That's it. Now we've blown close to 20m in a sale and also have his wages still on the books.
Let's be real here too. This happens to often for it to always be 'the other club'. This is the way we operate and until Levy goes, this is the micro-management style that will always hold us back. He sweats over the pennies too much to see the bigger picture. Do you really think this is the behaviour of a club that can justify the most expensive ticket prices in the Premier League. That probably makes us the most expensive club to watch in the world. Think about that. They charge the most and for what? Feck me!!! What a joke.

It really wasn't. Fab was talking about it for weeks. It was close to being finalised and the last report was about the difference being less than 1m in terms of value.
So Emerson is staying. Richy has just confirmed he's staying.
We can't shift so we probably won't buy. Nice one.
think we will sign Solanke but its a shame we probably wont get in an upgrade first XI RW and improved squad option on left side of defence. you could look at that as the difference in the season on finishing in a CL spot and going further in competitions. all depends on luck with injuries etc als
