4/10 for me.
Good we shifted lots of “deadwood” but we’ve also collected more “deadwood” in Ange’s tenure.
I’m happy with Solanke because we needed a striker but we’re shopping at Bournemouth. Look what happened when we bought a bottom-half striker in Richy. I think Solanke is a massive gamble.
Yang
Gray
Odobert
Werner
That’s a Fulham-level window.
End of the day, we bought one first team player.
I want the football club to show ambition. Ange was gobbing-off about winning mentalities and second-season trophy chases.
What is the ambition at Spurs? What do they want to achieve?
For me, this window has shown they want to do the bare minimum to get some sort of European football. We’re not getting 4th place so a Top6 finish is the ambition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We'd have had to spend an awful lot to sign more outright 1st team players. Look at what we paid just to bring in a striker who can go straight into the team. I know we overpaid but it was never going to be cheap.
With how last season unfolded anyway, not sure Ange was ever going to get backed quite the same. As it is we've still spent a fair bit.
Apart from 2 or 3 spots, when everyone is fit and in form, there isn't that much to improve on in the first team. Back line speaks for itself, Maddison and Son get in. Therefore you're left with the left wing and central midfield. Now if Kulu can get back to being good, that sorts out a spot. Then there is potential in midfield for players to make it their own between what we have. I'm sure that was the hope when we signed all these youngsters.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The hope was to bring the wage bill down. That’s the only thing Levy cared about when signing these youngsters. He’s achieved it. We’ve practically halved it with the amount of experienced higher earners now off the books. What do we get in return? Higher ticket prices.
We can massage the story to make this shiiiitshow of a window more palatable but the reality is that the owners have let us down once again. Those youngsters might end up being great but they’ve not been signed in the hope of winning something in a few years, they’ve been signed because they’re cheap. That’s it. That’s the only reason. If we were serious, we’d have signed younger players and some seasoned pros to really have a go.
We will go absolutely nowhere as a club with this ownership. Billy was right all along.
My conclusion after this transfer window = Levy out.
The outgoings, with the exception of skipp, have been pretty poor business considering we barely received any transfer fees

I figure the club is fairly happy with where the squad/team is at right now that it doesn't need to go overboard on recruitment. I wouldn't say there are any positions of urgency anymore for us to focus on.
The recent recruitment has been decent as well so I'm quite trusting that what we've signed will pay off. From what we've seen of these latest youngsters, they look promising and if anything have looked better than our marquee signing Solanke, in what little we've seen so far.
Let's see how it pans out. I feel like if we are to be let down by a disappointing season again then that's going to be more on Ange than personnel.

5/10 which is disappointing due to the potential off it able to been a 8 or 9.
We should’ve got a established winger with so many being available this summer and I think one of the reasons we didn’t was due to commuting to Werner so early.
IMO this summer turned from a window for now to a window for the future which as spurs fans we’ve had so many of these and the future never turns up.
Out goings we had to be ruthless and I’m happy we was. We did a great job imo
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good post admin
I agree that outgoings don’t seem so great cause of lack of fees in but we got rid of a whole lot of wages cleared off, big clubs tend to do this with players they don’t want anymore just take their losses and be ruthless. We are doing the same. Skipp we got a great fee and there’s a number of players that if they don’t perform this season we can get good money for next summer

I don’t agree.
As you say Skipp is a great fee as imo is Emersons.
Getting £17m albeit a year down the line for Højbjerg is also decent.
Let’s be honest no one was paying for ndombele so getting his 200k a week of the wages is the best option.
Lo celso is a weird one but he’s gone and now someone’s else physios problem.
Also most only had a year on the contract too
Keep forgetting about Emerson
Good amount for Parrot too
Although when you see it like this
#thfc summer 2019 signings:
💰 Tanguy Ndombele (£55M)
💰 Ryan Sessegnon (£25M)
💰 Giovani Lo Celso (£42M)
