Not exactly a huge sample size... 3 crosses per 90 and only 18 completed all season in Europe? I'm not saying he's a bad player, I've never seen him play. Just seems a bit of a weird point of comparison when there are players in there who have attempted far more and it doesn't account for tactics, position where cross attempted etc

Yea I liked what I saw from him tbf. He picked up a knee injury that stopped his move to palace in Jan.

Just been watching the Lesta highlights and seeing Gio throwing himself into tackles makes me laugh.

Most had him down as a lightweight creative player to replace eriksen and Ndombele as the beast to replace dembele.

It’s turned out Gio is the Dembele tough player and Ndombele the lightweight more creative type

What style of player? That Palace squad is ageing so quick then need instantly good youth players now

He’s a very much up and down full back with a good passing range and versatility in can play Right or left.

Interesting they’ve only given him a 3 year contract as if he has a great season or two you might be able to pick him up cheap as he’s hitting 22/23 years old.

If you were to dig through my old posts you'd find I said pretty much exactly this when both were first signed. People had preconceptions about both based on their nationalities, I think.

Yea I knew defensively he weren’t all that but tbh he’s still shocked me a little how bad he’s been this season doing that part.

So exciting going forward though

They didn’t really answer it at all

They never do. Gone right off that pod. They talk a lot but say very little. Get much better insight on here.

Na I do like it but they need bardi because the other two will just agree with each other all the time.
