Not to be contrary (oh god, unlike me) but I think Auriers crossing is pretty good and actually one of his better attributes. What he is way worse at is making decisions in the attacking third, he’ll either cross from deep or pass to the underlapping midfielder who is running into the channel. We never see him take on his man or try something less predictable - which was exactly my issue with trippier.

I feel like he attempted to dribble past players a lot more the previous two seasons and is now way too cautious. He is basically doing the same things that annoyed me that trippier did.

My Daniel Levy theory is that all the money that we made was invested off the field. Once that has been complete we are now ready to invest it on the pitch - as the last two windows proved (we spent a lot of money).

The only issue now is COVID has racked up our financial situation - I don’t think he can really be blamed if he can’t spend big this summer because we have lost out in tens/hundreds of millions due to COVID.
