"The 21-year-old has scored seven goals and registered two assists during 2019/20 but could be on his way out of Roma." omg go get him

*Bruno gets 30+ goals and assists last season* nah

Bruno was just too expensive though and it was between him and Lo Celso and I’m happy with who we got

Zaniolo is quoted at a similar price

Why do we need another attacking mid anyway?

posted on 22/7/20

We should have got Bruno and GLC. Instead we got lard a$$. It kills me.

yep. bout 6th priority, could use more creativity but somewhat wasted under Jose. And we all know there are key areas to address first.

need to sell 1 or 2 AMs anyway tbh.

We don’t really, unless we get a hybrid Attacking Mid who can play striker like Kai Havertz. However honestly Dele Alli is probably suffice.

At the moment the two full back positions and another striker are the top 3 priorities for me.

Yeah 100%, I think I said before but for me it goes:
DM
RB
LB
Backup Striker
Backup CB
GK for the future
Attacking Mid

Liverpool are the best team in the country and dnt have a attacking/creative mid really in their ranks.

would agree with that priority order

Depends quite a bit on who we keep and sell though. Hopefully we can keep our key players at the club and that will negate the need to have to do more work in the transfer window. We've left ourselves a lot of work to do as it is already, on paper at least.

cant see who would be sold. possibly KWP and Rose for cheap.

think we will see one full back come in and a centre mid. ultimately underwhelming window. hope im wrong.

Man City are the best team in the country, and they have 6 attacking mids in their ranks

depends on how you play i guess. But with Jose the AMs arent going to be utilised.

an AM should wait until this short spell inevitably comes to an end

I'm confused. Liverpool won the league at a canter. How can Man City be the best team???!

my point is you dont NEED one to be a good team. Whereas you do need a defensive midfielder and good full backs.

CCV - £1m
KWP - £12m
Foyth - £500k loan fee
Aurier - £24m (if sold)
Amos - £2m
Rose - £8m

Tbf I only think you need good midfielders. I can think of plenty of title winning teams with average players in key positions but can’t really think of one that had a bad midfielder or bad midfield.

posted on 22/7/20

Well I can think of ones that had a bad midfielder, but never a bad midfield

posted on 22/7/20

Btw I don’t think we necessarily need an attacking mid, it’s just that I don’t think the Liverpool blueprint is one to justify a point as they have an obscenely creative talent at RB and Mane’s creativity combined with Firmino helping with midfield overloads helps with that.

no absolutely. Thats where i mean by the way we are playing we need a more creative RB because of the amount Aurier seems to get the ball and have crossing opportunities, he's too hit and miss going forward.

I don't know how many crosses Berg has attempted but that one cross to Kane to head in for a goal was better than all of Aurier's attempted crosses in the past several months. It really does show you how useless he is.

That cross from Berg was near to the touchline with Kane isolated between the two cb's, a position Aurier often frequents but is often crowded out which makes it difficult to hit first time because teams know our plan.

Where Serge needs to improve is when he gets to the edge of the area where there are the area is crowded. He always hits the first defender. If only he could dink the ball in using the same tekkers as Mountino did the other day instead if just firing the ball. Frustrating!
