Strange decision. Looks a batting pitch if you can see off the first hour and their bowlers had 90 overs in the field just 3 days ago.
Hoping we can take advantage.

"If you can see off the first hour"
Think you've cracked the case, Dr Watson
Surprising decision. I know the Ashes have been retained but a lot of the shine will be taken off if the series is drawn 2-2.
The batting line up is a mess but they're more likely to collapse in the second and fourth innings rather than the first and third.
They have Steve Smith though. Versus England that guarantees you 150 runs an innings, which means that the remaining bats only need to score 15 apiece to post a total England can't consistently match. And even if Australia collapse, Smith (and Labuschagne) won't.
Is this the last series for Gower and Botham on Sky? Reports coming out both have been axed (or told to retire).
Sounds like it's grey and muggy - certainly how it is where I work, and that's only 16 miles away from the Oval. Not ideal batting conditions. Good choice by Paine if they can pick up some early wickets
The fack that is not out!
Even the appeals weren't enthusiastic so no idea what the umpire saw.
He's supposed to be the best umpire in the world
Thank gawd for that, I hate waiting for reviews when I only have the live text to rely on
Denly not cut out for opening either, too busy fishing outside off
That opening partnership was the highest opening stand of either team in the series.
Faaack that's shiiiyte from both sides.
This is such a flat wicket and you'd expect England to at least 400. but you just feel they could get out any time.
Strange decision to bowl 1st from Aus. Got through the 1st hour with only 1 out, should be fine now
Inclusion of both Siddle and Marsh is also a bit random. Marsh understandable but don't think they needed Siddle as well
Has someone in the Aussie team done a number on William Hill for this match?
Could have done with this luck in the first 4 games

Aussies won every toss of the series?
or 4 of the 5? always helps tbf
but today they could have got it badly wrong and could help england make it 2-2, depending on if they can get smith out
Root has batted like a complete t1t almost giving away his wicket to not even great balls on a good pitch.
How do we always seem to lose the toss. Lost 4 or 5 in the last series down under as well I believe
