Just to clarify, China has expelled all foreign journalists and it's widely accepted in China that the figures they have reported are 100% fake. To suggest Italy has more cases and deaths when one has a fraction of the pop, and Italy's population had prior notice...it's impossible basically.

China kept the seriousness of the situation secret for 2 weeks, noting how close people are when they travel and even eat in China.

China is now claiming they, with the power of the people, defeated covid BUT foreign traveller's bought it back. If you're a foreigner in China right now expect extreme racism, being barred from establishments and even violence. China has suggested Americans bought the second wave....

The virus hasn't left China and infections still happening on a daily basis. Things are never what they seem when it comes to China, and all this info is from people in China.

China is of the opinion 'we have beat it and our economy hasn't been destroyed but look at the foreign countries'
China cannot afford an economic downturn. It's that simple.

I just find it amazing that any President could go on national TV and state, if we lose 100,000 - 200,000 lives then we've done a good job.

They had an enormous amount of time to prepare for the inevitable.

Then again, they aren't the brightest of bunch.

Rumour from another forum I visit - since the beginning of the outbreak, there are now 21 MILLION fewer active mobile phones in China.

Make of that what you will

mass wearing of face masks in public is the best way of stopping this virus quickly

I've seen some masks making people look like star troopers.

It would definitely help but unfortunately that is not feasible at present.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
even home made masks are quite effective

not as good as a n95 mask ofcourse, but much better than wearing nothing

posted on 30/3/20

you realise the WHO and our government has drastically underplayed how important face masks are

it's the main reason korea and japan were able to flatten the curve so quickly

it also enables ppl to go back to a nearly normal life much more quickly

Tbh I would rather see all those in close contact particularly health/care workers be given them first. I prefer to limit any close contact atm.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yes i agree

but you can make you own home made mask, that will give decent protection

that's good cinci

more ppl start wearing them out and about (proper N95 ones or just home made ones) the safer it will be for everyone

the main cause of transmission gets stopped

Yeah agreed, that should be something that should have been easy to implement in reality but for countries being completely unprepared for any kind of airborne issue.

The above graph, The Federal Reserves own figures, shows how the financial system that has been artificially propped-up since the last crash in 2008/09, once again collapsed last Sept.

Pandemic or planned-emic?

I think you are giving governments far to much credit, having witnessed how they are all handling this i would seriously doubt they manage to keep the drinks machine filled up in the office half the time.
