When you break it all down, there is no wonder Spurs have not won a trophy for so long despite having very good teams over the years.
United & Pool - FA, PL and media darlings, who are given the benefit of doubt by the 80% of referees and VAR - it is far easier to win a trophy when the officials drag you along.
City & Chelsea - Financially doped to the hilt by billionaire owners, with a money no object approach to players. Add to that, undoubted corruption and the odd `brown paper bag` changing hands to `facilitate results etc`, money opens doors, and these kind of owners know how to use their wealth.
Arsenal - FA darlings, with a former club director and owner who was sat on the FA board of directors also, who is also a close friend of Arsene Whinger, so no real surprise `favourable refereeing` appeared when needed.
Spurs - Took the FA to court (under Sugar) in 1994 and were made to look stupid fools as their sanctions of a 12 point deduction and FA Cup ban were revoked.

Sandy, you can’t really sugar coat this matewe are an embarrassment. You are basically celebrating failure ? We don’t even win the small trophies mate, so let’s not even go down the league route. All of the top 6 win trophies, apart from Spurs. We ate an absolute joke under Levy/ENIC trophy wise
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don, as I pointed out Spurs have won 12 trophies since then, so hardly embarrassing. Certainly up there with the top five or six trophy winners over the same period.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sandy, we are an embarrassment mate. 1 league cup in over 20 years is atrocious and laughable for a club of our size
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Next year will be our year Don. I am expecting big things next season. If one thing this Corona Virus is going to do is level things up a lot. No more big spending from the lottery clubs. Every club will be on a shoestring, and being played behind closed doors should be a big advantage to Spurs. No pressure, so no bottling.
Mark my words Don, 2020/21 is going to be a big season for Spurs. The trophy drought will be ending big time next season.

Not to be harsh, but I think you've probably cocked up your best chance to win the league in recent times by not capitalising when you had a strong team.
You're currently on a downward trajectory imo.
Goalkeeper and defence past their best.
Best midfielder gone to Italy.
Brilliant striker, but can't stay fit for the course of a season.
Manager who's best days are looking increasingly behind him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It doesn’t. We are an incredibly average side and with no spending, will still be average.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well we are not really that average Don, We have one of the world`s top strikers, a world cup winning goalie. One of the best Asian players ever, lots of good young talent, mixed with a fair bit of experience. So I think we are anything but average. But Spurs are certainly underperforming that I do not dispute.
I expect Jose to really rip into them pre season (whenever that will be) and get a winning mentality going.
Season on going has been a joke with injuries and suspenstions, so have already written that off.

geez have you watched the game
You guys offered nothing all night, first attempt on target was after 70 mins and that was practically a pass back to our keeper for Dele.
A couple of decent attempts late in the game was all you could muster in the biggest game in your history.
We didn't even get out of first gear because we didn't have to

Spurs, with a fully fit first XI are still a formidable outfit. Dismiss them at your peril.
Man City have an ageing team as well, are you going to dismiss them. It is clear they are also past their best. And they won`t be able to spend their way out anymore.
No team will. Spurs made some decent purchases last season, and they will all improve.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
City are well ahead of us even with a ageing players in certain positions and they've been winning things as a result. Pep is also well ahead of Mourinho.

That makes a grim reading specially we had the MOST shot in a CL final and couldn't beat the worst team on the night?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
geez have you watched the game
You guys offered nothing all night, first attempt on target was after 70 mins and that was practically a pass back to our keeper for Dele.
A couple of decent attempts late in the game was all you could muster in the biggest game in your history.
We didn't even get out of first gear because we didn't have to

Both teams were shiiite on the night. The main thing that separated them was a stupid handball.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sadly this tbh
I’m hoping we can just build another strong team on a smallish budget
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Morning palmers I don’t think you currently have the manager for that project

Jeez sandy you do talk some gibberish mate. 59 years without winning the league is an atrocious record for a supposedly big club and until fans stop accepting it, Daniel levy will continue counting the money he robs from you

You hardly offered much either. None of the big players turned up.

Both teams were pretty average tbh. You did what you had to do
Certainly we weren’t helped by the ridiculous penalty though

It was a poor game. I agree with GTs point regarding the break. It really was far too long

Hi Irish
Yeah we have a dinosaur in charge. Outdated, drab tactics.
I’ll give Jose a chance (he’s had awful luck with injuries) but I’m not expecting much

It's easy to say the handball set the tone for you guys to play more defensive, but then the same applies to us in that it had us on the back foot.
Neither team played a good final, and yes I agree with the break.
