At least you've brought back the working class image of football.

My Grandad, who was in the Merchant Navy, always said the first thing the crew would seek out in a new port was a decent cheese room.

Was your stadium as empty when your grandad was a youngster as well ?

Crowds of over 80,000 were commonplace.

It was full most of the time, just like the Etihad.

Well they weren`t commonplace, you had probably one, and United had one, when they used your ground.

Since the Pren started, City have more or less been Spurs b. itc@hes. No matter how bad Spurs have been, more often than not, they get the better of City. Even this season, City couldn't beat Spurs, and Spurs recorded a comfortable 2-0 home win.

What about the 30 games you lost, or don`t you want to post them. A three or four year window over 30 years of the Prem. from 1990 to 2011 City hardly won a game against Spurs. A few wins since you won the lottery hardly makes up for over 20 years of misery at the hands of Spurs, and even the last couple of years Spurs have had the better of City.

Deal with it fella.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
City have won the league as many times in the last 2 seasons than Tottenham have done n their entire existence.

Deal with that fella
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Brought, not won. How many times do I have to remind you fella. City are buying trophies, like Chelsea did.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry did you mean to say bought not brought the league.

Most successful teams buy players to win things, sorry to be the bringer of bad news

City are the poster boys of cheating their way to the top using a sovereign wealth fund from a country with extremely poor human rights. UEFA seem to think the same having thrown them out of the CL for 2 years for cheating. Obviously the Premier league wont do a thing as its a complete moral vacuum who are about to allow an even worse regime to buy in under mild questioning...pitiful

To be honest I agree with Sandy, City are definitely our whipping boys. Look at the record in the last 30 years, we completely boss them. Even recently we have got the better of them. They went through a little period of beating us, but in general we shove City in the a** with a great big Spurs dido

Don, you cannot beat facts. Even with all their money, they still get beaten by Spurs on a regular basis. Without the money, they would have had probably just three or four wins in 30 odd years.

Spurs were the first club to become a PLC yet you continously rattle on about money.

I agree mate, one thing we do well is we seem to get decent results v city. Like I said, they went through a period of beating us, but our record is excellent v City

Spurs v City since the dawn of time:-

Games won: 63

Games drawn: 36

Games lost: 62

Excellent record indeed.

That should read City v Spurs.

That would be most of them in the Prem era, although to be fair City spent a fair bit of that time in the 2nd and 3rd divisions.

As a football historian sandy, I am surprised you are only focusing on the prem era.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not just concentrating on the Prem era. The article covers the whole of football history from the time Preston won the league. Or didn`t you actually read the article properly? Sometimes that helps.

It then descended into a City v Spurs history lesson, but whatever way you look at it. Be it in the Prem era or before, then Spurs lord it over City.

More wins overall, many, many more wins in the Prem era. Case closed.

Lauding it over spurs by winning one more match across the history? I think you need to buy a dictionary. You pick and choose how important history is depending on your own opinion. If anyone had done an article specifically about the prem era you’d be the first talking about football not being invented in 1992.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not lauding it just giving you the facts. Spurs over the whole of football history have the upper hand over City, however you want to spin it. I am just giving the facts.
