I don't get how some people don't understand the view of neutral venues. I think Brighton, for example, have a fair point on saying that they have already played City, Liverpool, a United etc away and now have them on a home fixture that would not have the same home advantages that rivals would have. They have played the most difficult games away and will not get a home advantage in the return fixture. I think they have a reason to feel aggrieved.
But it seems that it will go ahead so at least we get some football back. Won't be the same but better than nothing. But I don't think it's fair to be honest
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I understnad, as i understand their desperation to get relegation scrapped. I think its a bit spineless and cowardly myself but i get it, lot of money and future of their club.
Everyones in the same boat from this point on and they were in the same boat when the computer was randomly deciding fixtures and their order before the season even began. Its not like someones facked them over on purpose.
They need to accept responsibility for the positions they are in so far rather than coming up with excuses and try to weasel their way out of possibile/probably relegation, not only because its the manly thing to do but because theres teams who deserve to come up and take their places.
Its an unfortunate situation and some things may turn out to be unfair on some, might not its not even been decided yet because they havent played. All it is atm is speculation, i bet if we finish the season a few of these clubs crying will avoid the relegation they fear so much anyway.

The logistics could have been sorted with private planes.
They were both cancelled for financial reasons because of the lack of spectators.
Why would anyone be excited about football coming back in the manner that's being suggested? It sounds sh*t to me.Neutral grounds, no fans and players dropping about because they have symptoms of, or are worried about Coronavirus, plus they'll be rusty as they've had a couple of months off and no proper pre-season.

So what do you suggest then ? No football for the next 8 months ? They are saying probably no crowds until atleast Jan, so we are just going to have to deal with it. It’s s*** and nobody really wants footy without fans, but what can you do ? Footy has to resume at some point.

I doubt the players will be covered for catching Covid-19 as they'll be playing against government advice (2 metres apart).
Try getting millionaires to sign a waiver saying you agree to play knowing neither you or your familky will be covered if you catch the virus
Right, so insurance companies will be ending the season?🤔

Why would anyone be excited about football coming back in the manner that's being suggested? It sounds sh*t to me.Neutral grounds, no fans and players dropping about because they have symptoms of, or are worried about Coronavirus, plus they'll be rusty as they've had a couple of months off and no proper pre-season.
Yaaay

Apparently it's what the people want but I haven't read a single story about a club canvassing their own fans.

So what do you suggest then ? No football for the next 8 months ? They are saying probably no crowds until atleast Jan, so we are just going to have to deal with it. It’s s*** and nobody really wants footy without fans, but what can you do ? Footy has to resume at some point.

“ They were both cancelled for financial reasons because of the lack of spectators.”
Really?
“ Considering the current situation, in regards to the Tokyo Games, as the host nation, in order to ensure that athletes from all over the world are able to compete in their best condition, and also in order to ensure the utmost safety for the spectators, I have asked him to consider postponing the games by about a year,” Abe added.”

Insurance companies will not be happy with the season starting and a lack of pre-season, they have the power to stop the season if they refuse to cover the players.

Great soundbite, but I imagine the financial stakeholders weren't thinking along those lines when the decision was made.
It's like the heads of Sky and BT coming out with "The welfare of the players and their families is our Number 1 concern".

I doubt the players will be covered for catching Covid-19 as they'll be playing against government advice (2 metres apart).
Try getting millionaires to sign a waiver saying you agree to play knowing neither you or your familky will be covered if you catch the virus
