I must admit I thought they had something to do with it

I'll hold my hands up, it looks like I was wrong
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They did have something to do with it. They left 3 children aged 3 and under unattended whilst they went for dinner.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What If someone had taken her whilst they slept in another room?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then it would in no way have been their fault
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But they had left 3 children under 3 alone in a room, accessible to some animal, for upto 10 hours
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Dunno why people feel the need to drone on about them being partly responsible for whatever happened to her because they left her alone, like this is some Sherlock Holmes level intuition, and like they won’t suffer the punishment of regretting it for every moment of every day for the rest of their lives.

I think in this case the punishment far outweighs the crime.

Well said

There has never been a time when I haven’t felt that the girl was dead.

The McCanns have always looked guilty to me. There is just something that doesn’t look right with them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

VC I'm sure they must be wracked with guilt because they left the kid alone

How could they ever look right after losing a kid like that

Can't complain against a concise article.

......

I would hope so. But it is more than that.

If it does turn out this German did it then my gut feeling on it would be wrong. It would raise the question on a lot of the McCannns lack of cooperation with the police.

Didn't the Portugese police basically taint any evidence that may have been near the villa with their cack-handed approach?

Have I missed something? What’s changed?

Germany have declared it a murder investigation just based on what we already know, right?

There’s no new evidence is there?

Until the german scuffers get a confession out of this guy and also get a location from him to recover a body, then nothing has changed in this case.

I openly admit that I have always suspected the parents had something to do with the girl's
disappearance. If I am wrong I will holds my hands up. (That is all I can do.)

The Met seem to think they're onto something and there's been 700 previous suspects.

I doubt the German police are telling the public everything they know.

For those people saying they’ll admit they were wrong if this latest investigation has merit...

Well of course you bloody will.

Not exactly big of you.

What would be better is to stop and think in future before throwing accusations around on social media.

Couldnt have said that better myself Winston.

What we know is he has a history of $ex crime, was living in the area and phone records put him close to where the crime was committed. Also one of his vehicles a Jaguar was re registered to someone else the day after MM disappeared.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, so nothing that makes it more likely she is dead then.

I am sure the McCanns have been logging into JA606 every day just to see what everyone thought of them.

There have been some very good discussions on here on the subject over the years.

Did you see my Simpsons video? That episode covers this whole case.

I've always found it very odd that the parents refused to answer 48 questions the Portugese police asked them.

If my lad was missing I wouldn't be picking and choosing who's questions I answered.

You would be daft not to admit you are wrong if it is proven that he killed her. But we all are allowed to have an opinion on things. I am sure to God you had one on here, Winston.

Its those who wont admit they were wrong you need to worry about.

And as I said nothing is proven yet.

Paul we know you did it, can you tell us what colour of pants your missus was wearing the day you murdered Maddie?

Aye, they took 45 minutes to respond to a call about a missing toddler, didn’t seal off the crime scene and people were walking in and out before forensics arrived, didn’t warn border patrol a child had gone missing, didn’t conduct thorough house-to-house enquires. An absolute shambles from a policing point of view.

In my view, no you don’t have a right to go around on social media telling people you think the parents killed her.

I mean, technically you are entitled to of course, but in reality it’s a disgusting thing to do.

I posted this earlier :
The speculation is something happened in the German prison possibly the suspect making some sort of confession to another prisoner perhaps ?

Interesting, thanks.
