Overtime sounds cooler than extra-time.
On a different point, I've always thought football (soccer) should learn from the NFL & NBA in terms of the entertainment aspect of sports. More trash-talk, better TV promos, more glitz & glamour, more celeb involvement etc.

Some games are good (I loved the 2012-13 SuperBowl when Ray Lewis' Baltimore Ravens beat Colin Kaepernick's San Francisco 49ers after the game got halted because the floodlights cut out) but generally the constant stoppages are annoying.

When you get around to actually spelling words correctly and not misspelling them on purpose to annoy people, then you could move on to this. Doing both together would just be weird.
