I've been through two category 4 hurricane when out in Florida. I actually found the people stockpiling before it more scary that the actually storms. The fear mongering before them from the governor was ridiculous.

Your tongue in cheek comment is noted, but I doubt you'd even stand up in 85mph winds, let alone try and kick a ball. This one should pass very quickly, so no need for anyone to "stockpile", either.

I remember seeing some of the effects of Hurricane Andrew when I toured Florida particularly around the Homestead area. The affluent parts of the town had been completely rebuilt and you wouldn’t know anything had happened. In the poorer parts of town people were still living in tents some years after the event.
