Rafa Mir who is on loan from Wolves to Huesca has finally come good it seems. He has scored 7 times since the restart and helped Huesca win Spain’s second division. He is now wanted by a number of top flight clubs in Spain including evidently Athletico Madrid
I heard my lad say to a mate at the weekend that Rafa Mir had an "in form card" (something to do with FIFA video game). Which surprised me but that explains it. Based on his brief period playing for us and his time at Forest, you have to wonder whether the English climate suits him.

Looks like the Mir signing was a smart bit of business

Europe. Unless of course we go on and win the Europa but that is a very long shot. Our best shot of Europe is Chelsea winning the fa cup.
Don't underestimate the importance of european competition to the players

from my limited experience, mainly from germany, europeans generally see european qualification as a much bigger thing than we do.

Yeah for sure
I know a number of people that feel not going into the Europa League next season could be a blessing in disguise. Would give us a less hectic schedule and could increase the possibility of finishing in the top 4 in the Premier League. Even better though would be winning the Europa League next month

The very best scenario would be for Arsenal to win the FA cup and therefor qualify for the Europa League and for Wolves to win the Europa final and qualify for the Champions League.
This scenario would mean that Spurs would no longer qualify for Europa League, which I for one would find highly amusing.
Season 20/21 to be cancelled on or just before 20th August. Second wave and second national lock down will be announced. This will be a coordinated sham across Europe, so the 19/20 Europa League tournament in Cologne will go ahead but that's your lot.
All the fixtures and venues are now mapped out for the Europa League mini tournament in Germany if we can get past Olympiakos on August 6th.
We would then play Seville or Roma in Duisburg on August 12th.
If we survive that then it’s the semi final maybe against Man Utd in Koln on Aug 16.
Then the final is also in Koln on Aug 21
A few pilot sporting events taking place with fans in the coming days to test out post COVID arrangements. A cricket match at The Oval, horse racing at Goodwood and snooker at the crucible.
The arrangements for the snooker could be an indicator of how things might move forward with football. A limit of 30% of capacity. Only people who buy tickets as a group can sit together. Two seats empty either side of each group. Alternative rows used only. Masks must be worn to enter the venue and while moving around inside but need not be worn while in your seat
You couldn't pay me enough to attend a sporting event right now
Reading that Wolves are chasing the signature of Jan Vertonghen after his contract expired at Tottenham. A lot of clubs interested so it would be a major coup if we could sign him.
Would seem a smart signing on paper but have to wonder if he still has the appetite for it.

I bet he would have an appetite if Nuno was his boss. Nuno does seem able to fire up players and get the best from them. Apparently, not only does Vertonghen come on a free transfer, he only wants 50,000 per week so it's going to come down to where does he want to play football; Germany, Spain, France, Italy or Wolverhampton. Errrrr.....perhaps we should look elsewhere.
Don't watch other teams except when they play us so don't know if he's any good. Seem to remember him strolling back after Neto made him look stupid. If so he,s crap

Wolverhampton is like Beverley Hills compared with Tottenham. Moutinho came from Monaco. It's bostin in wolves mate.
Didn’t notice we were having a problem attracting players from Spain, Portugal, France etc
