to be 6 months into this, and to still be completely lacking in clarity is imo unacceptable.

if it takes starting from scratch then if its possible lets do it, but ffs make sure its a co-ordinated plan, a solid message on face masks, a working track and trace system.

bumbling along in the hope we will one day have a vaccine.

Forget it mate. For that to work you need everyone to adhere. They won't. It's why, after 6 months, there is no improvement. Needs a new strategy, whatever that should be

unfortunately some residents of the UK feel they are too good, or too important, to have to protect others by doing something as trivial and innocuous as wearing a face mask, just bogging man.

I have some sympathy for the government in managing a pandemic and an economy but they way they have gone about it reads like there was never a sensible plan at any point, not even 3 months in.

just constant reactionary measures.

Wheelchair and Theo Walcott - Got to be up there with the biggest wastes of money in the game.

Talent and skill are great to have - but you have to be able to play the game.

I was tested yesterday for Covid.

Told this morning I was negative.

Test and Protect Scotland text me to self isolate for ten days, as I was working with someone who tested positive on Monday.

Thought it was 14 days with no symptoms or positive?

Wasting our time if there’s no faith in the tests.

How can there be any faith in numbers that continuously prove to be wrong?

We’re basing national decisions on flawed information in the hope to being able to maintain central control.

well lets not pretend that being able to drink beer in a restaurant keeps people in jobs.

i'm also curious how much people have been tipping, because they very concerned about the financial problems of the staff and knowing that this could happen again and put people out of work i assume people have been very generous about their tips.

I have a great deal of sympathy for people in these jobs, but had they got the virus under some sense of control before re-opening (while furlough was available) that would have surely been a better option.

Instead people wanted pubs back open, and i'm sorry to say but 99% of these people don't give a f... about the economy or about people losing their jobs, they want what they want.

posted on 7/10/20

the 10pm thing makes no sense whatsoever, people will just leave and go back to houses which is exactly what they don't want.

its preposterous

i wonder what the logic is that you can't let a couple of thousand well spaced out people in an outdoor arena like a football stadium but you can let a hundred in a pub or a couple of hundred in a shopping centre.
