Because we are as likely to rival Liverpool as anyone else in the league. It’s clear Liverpool will be top 2 at aleast, but Arsenal and United are gash, Chelsea have a useless manager and City seem broken. As much as we (Spurs) can’t defend the only team in the league that I would say are clearly better than us are Liverpool, although on paper City should be.

Liverpool yes but not City, they are chucking points away left right and centre and we tend to be a bit of a bogey side for them.

The only people to be scared of when we play Pool are the officials.

Well if we were to beat Liverpool home and away then that would be 6 more for us and 6 less for you. I think it’s very plausible we could pick up an additional 20 this season.

We are 2 points better off already compared to corresponding fixtures last season, in addition to this:

We took

Burnley - 4 points
Sheff U - 1 point
Southampton - 3 points
Watford - 2 points
Norwich - 4 points
Bournemouth - 4 points
Brighton - 3 points

Maximum points against those sides would have been an additional 21 points. Substitute last years relegated 3 for the promoted 3 and say we get beaten at Elland road but win the rest, then that would be 18 points. Add those 18 to the 2 extra we already have and bingo, 20 extra points from virtually just the bottom 10 sides.

I would definitely rank Spurs better than Liverpool now. Better squad allround. Last year Liverpool were blowing teams away, this year, they are just about limping over the line in most matches.

You cannot compare this season to last season. Spurs have massively improved their squad, and they have their two best players back in harmony, when they were missing for large parts of last season. I don`t see any improvement in the Liverpool team, in fact the front three look pretty blunted right now, although Mane is still a handful.

I'm all for optimism and i even like to see opposition fans bigging up their team, let's face it we all want our clubs to overachieve.

I'm sure i've done it many times myself in the past.

But there's a massive difference between overegging the pudding and making scrambled eggs.

To suggest that spurs - who are a really good football team - are suddenly better than Liverpool - Who are in with a shout of being the best team in the world - isn't bigging up your team, it's just talking out of your rrse.

Head scrambled, you might say.

Spurs will be worthy champions 2020/21.
