Spurs are way to reliant on Kane and Son, so any loss of form or injury to either of them two, limits spurs as an attacking force, necermind the tissue paper midfield they have, or a defence that looks on the verge of a nervous breakdown every few weeks.

I think we need to ask, if Liverpool don't win it then who will? City? No. United? No. Everton? No. Spurs? No.

Liverpool will win it and comfortably again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don`t see it myself Bake `em. They have been totally unconvincing. In fact I would be seriously worried if I was a Liverpool supporter.

Spurs look the side most likely to win the Prem, they are putting in consistent 8/10 performances, other than the very first game against Everton, and but for a couple of very, very late slip ups, would be already be near ot top of the table. Liverpool are not convincing at all. They have beaten a promoted side, a side that look complete relegation fodder, played against a couple or teams that ended up with 10 men, and were completely and utterly spanked by Villa. Oh and beat Arsenal, when they should have been down to 10 men. The rest of the so called big teams are looking anything but title winners. Spurs however are increasingly looking the real deal. I expect Spurs over the next month or so to really put their foot on the gas.

Also shout out to West ham. They look a solid team atm. They were unlucky versus the gooners as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

West Ham are nicking points, but frankly Spurs should have been out of sight against them, and they were lucky to grab a point against City.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Still they are resolute and a handful. Moyes is doing well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It only last so long that they can hang on into games. Sooner, rather than later they will be back to getting beaten, rather than nicking draws. They aint going to be gifted draws like at WHL every week of the season.

I think we have done the same as last season, although not as well thus far and dug in for the wins, rather than destroying teams. We then grew in confidence and started destroying teams. I saw signs of that confidence coming back in the second half last night. I don't see anybody else winning it to be honest.

No I give an assessment, and because it is not always kind to Liverpool, you interpret it as a bitter. I sometimes wonder why a lot of you Liverpool supporters just cannot accept other opinions, if it in anyway criticise Liverpools performances.

Answer do you honestly think Liverpool are playing well this season?

I think the winners mentality in our squad is incredible and second to none. The last two games since we lost VVD where we’ve ground it out have shown that.

It’s the one goal margin wins that define seasons. Rival fans say it’s luck but you see us doing it on a regular basis for the best part of two and a half years now, it’s clear there’s more to it to anyone with football knowledge.

VVD will be a big loss but this team will still win matches. Deserve two points more than we have as well.

Just the way the league is so far. Liverpool are there more by default, than actually how good they have been. Give it say another dozen games, and let`s see if Liverpool are still 2nd.

Everton whilst not a poor team will hit a loss of form sooner or later.

PL wise it will be one of Liverpool, City, Chelsea or. Spurs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelsea will be nowhere near 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why is it that Liverpool fans think their team can go up another gear but other teams can't? Chelsea have a host of new signing to bed-in, they could well fly once they get used to each other.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because we’ve done it before, so are comfortable that we will do so again. Saying it for some of the other teams is just guesswork.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, but teams regress, I mean who would have thought City would win the league then finish miles behind Liverpool the following season. It will happen to Liverpool at some point.

Problem for you old timer, is Liverpool don't have to play well, to still be clear of teams like Spurs. 🙂

Of course Liverpool will still win matches, nobody is saying that. But I don`t think beating Leeds 4-3, and Sheffield United by the odd goal in three is totally convincing stuff. Yes, Liverpool may be grinding out results now, but that will only last so long. Sooner or later they will come unstuck.

I'm not sure they will come unstuck, but I wouldn't be surprised if another team upped their game and challenged them, they're not as invincible as they were last season. The way Leeds and Villa took them apart even with VVD proved that.

Liverpool are huge favourites for me. City look a busted flush and all the rest are too inconsistent.

Liverpool are the only team I see getting past 80 points this year. It won't be a cake walk like last year, but with City being so poor I think it will be a reasonably comfortable title for them.
