Have a look at the stats from the Everton game.
We had more possession
More shots
More shots on target
More corners
Less fouls
We should’ve won that game!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But you didn`t.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just like you shouldn’t have beaten west ham last week!

What bit of my post were you struggling with exactly?
We haven't played well and won 4 from 6, we should have gotten all 3 points from that Everton game, and would have been 3 points clear today if VAR hadn't catastrophically fecked up.
How's that comparable to the utter delusional nonsense sandy spouts on a daily basis?🙂

I think we have done the same as last season, although not as well thus far and dug in for the wins, rather than destroying teams. We then grew in confidence and started destroying teams. I saw signs of that confidence coming back in the second half last night. I don't see anybody else winning it to be honest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think the winners mentality in our squad is incredible and second to none. The last two games since we lost VVD where we’ve ground it out have shown that.
It’s the one goal margin wins that define seasons. Rival fans say it’s luck but you see us doing it on a regular basis for the best part of two and a half years now, it’s clear there’s more to it to anyone with football knowledge.
VVD will be a big loss but this team will still win matches. Deserve two points more than we have as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course Liverpool will still win matches, nobody is saying that. But I don`t think beating Leeds 4-3, and Sheffield United by the odd goal in three is totally convincing stuff. Yes, Liverpool may be grinding out results now, but that will only last so long. Sooner or later they will come unstuck.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool win 4-3 vs Leeds having not played well, winning it in the final few minutes.
Spurs draw 3-3 having been 3-0 up in the 80th minute having blown the opposition away.
That is literally the difference between the two teams in terms of mentality summed up and what I was talking about.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You cannot really say that. It would be like where was the Liverpool mentality when they lost 7-2? Whereas Spurs mentality was all there when they went to Old Trafford and won 6-1.
You cannot in any way judge a teams mentality on a once in a generation fluke comeback in the last eight minutes of a game.
You may as well say Spurs came back in their Europa cup tie, after being 1-0 down with barely 15 minutes to play, they came back and won 3-1. So the mentality was very strong in that game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Again you are basing it on one game. A terrible sample size. Let's look at it over a sustained period. 20 or 30 games say.

Yes and we should have won against WHU and Newcastle by the same metrics. I don’t get the point?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree but you didn’t!
We are being told that we are unconvincing, we haven’t been unconvincing we’ve just not been as good as we can be. We’ve still deserved to win the games we have and should’ve beat Everton.
The Villa game aside it’s been a decent return from a tough start!

Spurs look the side most likely to win the Prem, they are putting in consistent 8/10 performances, other than the very first game against Everton, and but for a couple of very, very late slip ups, would be already be near ot top of the table. Liverpool are not convincing at all. They have beaten a promoted side, a side that look complete relegation fodder, played against a couple or teams that ended up with 10 men, and were completely and utterly spanked by Villa. Oh and beat Arsenal, when they should have been down to 10 men. The rest of the so called big teams are looking anything but title winners. Spurs however are increasingly looking the real deal. I expect Spurs over the next month or so to really put their foot on the gas.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Christ. 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Neo comes on and gives an honest assessment, Sandy comes on and rambles away in his bitter tones.
That’s the difference!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No I give an assessment, and because it is not always kind to Liverpool, you interpret it as a bitter. I sometimes wonder why a lot of you Liverpool supporters just cannot accept other opinions, if it in anyway criticise Liverpools performances.
Answer do you honestly think Liverpool are playing well this season?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We were excellent vs Chelsea and Arsenal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You've just said Chelsea aren't that good, and Arsenal haven't been firing on all cylinders either. I would go as far as to say that Chelsea and Arsenal were your easy games.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was asked if we’re playing well and said we were excellent in those games, Chelsea “I’ve been told” will be up there for the league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelsea had a man sent off, it was 0-0 up until then
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And we were the better side, playing the better football!
You telling me Christiansen shouldnt have been sent off?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He did deserve to be sent off but, and you were the better side but it was still 0-0, anything could have happened in the 2nd half had it been 11 vs 11.

Everton whilst not a poor team will hit a loss of form sooner or later.
PL wise it will be one of Liverpool, City, Chelsea or. Spurs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelsea will be nowhere near 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why is it that Liverpool fans think their team can go up another gear but other teams can't? Chelsea have a host of new signing to bed-in, they could well fly once they get used to each other.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because we’ve done it before, so are comfortable that we will do so again. Saying it for some of the other teams is just guesswork.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s all guesswork.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It rally isn't.
Some teams have new players, and will take time to find a formula, and if it works, the current champions have pretty much the same players, and manager, and everyone has seen how great a team they are.

As much as I hate to say it, it will probably be Liverpool.
Hopefully just a couple of more years until Klopp furrrks off finally and they can go back to being a terrible laughable team that signs terrible laughable players.

But well take 4 from 6, and one defeat, without showing any real form, and move forward.

Not a stretch to assume if had been given, Liverpool would have won the game. 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But there's a good chance Arsenal would have beaten Liverpool had Mane be rightly sent off in the 3rd minute so you wouldn't be 3 points clear.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's a much bigger assumption to make.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A bit like Everton wouldn't have scored against Liverpool had VVD been on the pitch? Even though Liverpool conceded 7 the week before.

Fecks sake. 😂

Ok not literally the last kick of the game, but very close to.

As much as I hate to say it, it will probably be Liverpool.
Hopefully just a couple of more years until Klopp furrrks off finally and they can go back to being a terrible laughable team that signs terrible laughable players.
